Dean drives through the night, fueled by adrenaline and caffeine. I'm on the phone with everyone Bobby can think of, trying to get the to meet us in Casper. Whatever is going on, it's big and we'll need all the help we can get. So far I haven't had much luck. Everyone is either too far away to be any help or doesn't answer the phone. Bobby is going to meet us in Casper and it looks like that's it. Carlisle is asleep in the backseat when we finally got to Wyoming.

Casper isn't much to look at, especially at 4 am. Dean drives around somewhat aimlessly. I know he's waiting for Bobby who should get here in a couple hours, but it's still unsettling.

"You should get some sleep." I say. "You've been driving all night. If Carlisle were awake he'd tell you that sleep deprivation is as potent and dangerous as alcohol and we need you sharp."

Dean only grunts in reply, but doesn't pull over. I imagine he wouldn't get much sleep even if he tried. Sam really just disappeared off the face of the planet. If it were my brother I wouldn't be sleeping either.

Bobby calls around 5:30 and tells us to meet him at the library. We get there first, but don't have to wait long. I nudge Carlisle awake as soon as Bobby pulls into the parking lot. I know he hasn't been feeling well but we haven't had a moment alone where I can ask him about it. If he would even tell me. Ever since we left Forks he has been freezing me out more and more. I want to ask him about it, but we don't have time. Right now the priority is Sam.

"Bobby's here." I tell Carlisle as he shakes his head and sits up groggily.

"Thank you for waking me up." He says and grabs my hand.

I smile at him and squeeze his hand tight. I search his face for some sign of what was going on in his head. I've known Carlisle for years, but I've only KNOWN him for a couple months. This is all so new and yet here we are.  Hundreds of miles away from home, hunting a daemon that killed his son and so many other people and kidnapped Sam. So much happened in such a short amount of time. How well do I actually know him? He's my boyfriend yes, but he's so much more than that and I haven't had near enough time to know it all.

I'm brought back to reality when the car door open and Carlisle pulls his hand from mine to step out of the car. I shake my head, then follow. Dean and Bobby are talking in tense voices and heading for the library. I'm assuming they're going to do some research, not that it'll help us much. Where ever Sam is we can't do much for him until we have a better way of fighting the daemons, and right now we don't have much.
