Late Night Comfort

Side note <3:
I need comfort and I'm probably gonna get beat up soon so yea
(also maybe a little angst? Not really but)

Sun was playing with children in the daycare.
It has only been an hour since the daycare opened so it wasn't unusual for some children to arrive late, so he wasn't surprised hearing the daycare doors open, what surprised him is the screaming and complains that filled the daycare after.

Sun excused himself and went to check out the noise.
He got to the daycare entrance and saw a teenager with their guardian.

"Oh, hello Sir. Are you the Daycare Attendant?"
-"Yes I am!"
"That's great. I want my child here to stay here for the day. Is that okay?"
-"Oh, aren't they a little old to stay in a daycare?"
"they are, but I have nowhere else to keep them, do you mind?"
-"Nope! Not at all!! Just pick them up by 8PM!"
"Oh thank you so much! I'll see you later today and be nice!" the parent said to their child and left them with Sun.

"Hello New Friend! What's your name?"
Sun tried to make conversation with the child, but they just rolled their eyes and walked into the play-area, Sun was a little surprised but since the child didn't want to be in the daycare in the first place, Sun figured they were just a little annoyed.

Sun tried his best to get along with the teenager but the teen wasn't having it, they were insulting Sun and picking on the younger children.
Sun tried putting the teen in the time-out corner but instead got insulted instead.

Sun really was childish, so those insults really got to him.
During Naptime, instead of talking and cuddling Moon, he hid in his room and started tearing up.

He had to deal with kids like these often but he never figured out a way how to act around them so that they'll be nice.
The more he thought about the situation, the more tears started forming in his eyes.
He also heard the child arguing with Moon because of naptime.

Sun was getting really overwhelmed with negative emotions, he was cuddling himself into his blanket, silently crying to himself slowly drifting off to a dreamless sleep.

Sun slowly woke up laying on his side, he felt that his pillow felt alot different from when he fell asleep and he felt a hand on his back caressing it in a comforting manner.

He saw familiar yellow glowing stars on blue fabric, so he closed his eyes again and nuzzled his head more into Moons lap, Moon giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Sun sighed, turning onto his back looking up at Moon.
Moon smiled down at him, Sun smiled back but he wasn't smiling from heart.
He really wasn't feeling it and Moon noticed.

"My poor little Sunshine, what happened?"
Sun was hesitant but he could really use some comfort right now.
-"That teen that was arguing with you during playtime... They were insulting me the entire time..."
"Oh no, I'm so sorry that happened. How about some advice on how to deal with naughty children? Or do you want me to comfort you?"
-"I could use some comfort..."
Sun quietly said, sitting up and sitting in Moons lap.

Moon wrapped his arms around Sun, patting his head.
"Oh my sweet, sweet Sunshine. You did so great anyways, having to deal with so many naughty children almost every day.
I love you Sunny"
-"I love you too... But it was so humiliating and I feel so weak for just crying about it"
"You aren't weak Sunshine, I'd even say you're stronger than me. I could never deal with so many energetic and naughty children like you do. It was obvious you'd break someday and there's nothing wrong with that"

Moon continued telling Sun how strong he was and that him breaking down like this isn't his fault and he shouldn't feel guilty about it.

Sun closed his eyes and continued listening to Moon.
Sun suddenly interrupted Moon
"W-Wait what about the children?"
-"Sunny it's 10PM, the daycare is closed, don't worry about that"

Sun sighed, he didn't like the fact he made Moon stay with the children, but Moon reassured him that it was fine.

The rest of the night was filled with cuddles and comfort hihi
