Chapter 31

(Link's Point Of View):

I told them the story on how Saria and I first met. Memories started to come to my mind about all the things Saria and I did together. From catching frogs to sneaking into the Lost Woods at night to explore and discover things. We both loved laughing at different things Mido got easily mad at. We'd tease him and then Mido would stomp over to us and we would run away laughing even more. They loved hearing the story and enjoyed hearing the stories I told them of my adventures with Saria. They were adventures I'd never forget. As we laughed, one of the Kokri came over to us.

"You really are him." Mido said. "The only other person who would know of those stories is Link. I'm sorry I didn't believe you." I was shocked at the fact that Mido even said sorry. He never admitted he was wrong about something. "And Link... I'm sorry for being mean." I was even more shocked but appreciated his apology.

"It never really bothered me after a while." I said. "I have always thought of you as a friend, even with all the teasing you did to me."

"You know Link. Saria... Saria..." Mido tried to get the words out. "Really... really... like you." He sighed at the relief of getting the words out.

"I know." I said. I gave him a noogie on the head.

"Hey!" The others started to laugh as Mido chased me around.

After we all spent the night again in my own treehouse, we decided to travel to Goron City since we knew Darunia would know who might be the Sage of Fire. However, we didn't see Darunia in his throne so we had to go ask one of the Gorons. There was only one Goron we found in there.

(Daisy's Point Of View):

"Excuse me?" Link said.

"Woah!" I said as we ran out of the way. The Goron kept rolling down the hallway. "Did he even hear us?"

Link tried again. "Um sir! Excuse us?" We backed out of the way again as he rolled down again.

"Forget this!" Rosalina said. "Link. Give me you bow and arrows."

"Wait why?" Link said.

"I'm gonna hit an arrow at the flower bombs when he rolls over here."

"Wait what?! Are you serious? He could get hurt!"

"Actually Link." Navi said. "It's a very good idea. He'll be ok."

"You sure?"

"Yes. I'm sure." Navi said. Link pulled out his bow and hit the arrow at the flower bombs. They exploded and the Goron stopped rolling and sat down.

"I guess so." Link said.

"How could you do this to me?" The Goron said.

"Or not?" I said.

"You. You're Ganondorf's servant!" Link looked confused. "Hear my name and tremble! I am Link! Hero of the Gorons!"

"What?!" We all said.

"Hey! That's my name!" Link said.

"What? Your name is also Link?" He had a huge smile on his face. "Then you must be the legendary Dodongo Buster and Hero, Link! My dad is Darunia. Do you remember him?"

"Of course I remember him!"

"Dad named me Link after you because you're so brave! It's a cool name! I really like it!"

"Well you know me already! These are my friends. Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Samus, and Navi the fairy." We waved.

"Link, you're a hero to us Gorons! I'm so glad to meet you! Please give me your autograph! Sign it: To my friend, Link of the Gorons!" Then he paused. "I guess it's not a good time to ask you for this... Please help everyone!" Link once again looked confused. "My dad, Darunia, went to the Fire Temple. A dragon is inside!"

"OOOH! I LOVE DRAGONS!!!" I said. Everyone looked back at me. "Well it's true...sorry. Continue."

"If we don't hurry up, even my dad will be eaten by the dragon!!" Goron Link began to cry.

"Eaten?!" I said.

"You'd better try to calm him down if you can. Maybe he will calm down if you talk to him?" Navi said.

"Ummm. Ok." Link said. "Link? Where did the dragon come from?"

Goron Link continued to sob. "A long time ago, there was an evil dragon named Volvagia living in this mountain. That dragon was very scary! He ate Gorons!  Using a huge hammer, the hero of the Gorons... BOOM! Destroyed it just like that! This is a myth from long ago, but it's true. I know because my dad is a descendant of the hero!"

"Could his dad be one of the Sages?" I thought.

"Everybody was taken to the Fire Temple. While my dad was out, Ganondorf's followers came and took them all away! All of them will be eaten by Volvagia! Dad said that Ganondorf has revived Volvagia! As a warning to those who might oppose him, Ganondorf is going to feed them all to Volvagia! Dad went to the Fire Temple all by himself to try to save everyone. Please help Link! I'll give you each heat resistant tunics." He gave them to us. "It'll make sure that you don't get burned to death."

"We'll definetly help!" Link said. "We'll make sure everyone gets out alive, including your dad!"

"Thank you so much!" Goron Link said. "Only you can save everyone! I'm sure that the shop owner, who is hiding somewhere right now, will also help you! Now, I'll tell you about the secret passage to the Fire Temple! Try to move the statue inside Dad's room!"

"Will do." Link said.

"We're counting on you all! Good luck!"

"It must be this one right here!" Samus said. We went over and pulled it together. There was an opening that led into the center of Death Mountain and we entered in.
