Chapter 5

All of a sudden, kids in green tied us up and took us to a tree!

"Great Deku!" one of the kids said. "These intruders came here!"

"Is there someone hiding in the tree or something?" Rosalina commented.

"You fool! It is the Deku Tree! He controls Kokri Forest!"

"A tree!? You've got to be kidding me! Trees don't talk!"

A face was forming on the tree.

"These girls are not our enemies! Untie them now!"

The children untied us, and ran off.

"Apparently, I was wrong."

"I am the Deku Tree! I already know that you all four came here so that you could look for shelter. There's only one person who will probably have enough room for all of you to stay."

"Oh thank you so much!"

"You're very welcome. Mido!" One of the children in green came. " Show our guests where Link lives and tell him they are to stay with him!"

"Yes sir!" Mido has us follow him. Then we got to a small tree house. "If you think I'm going to treat you any better than the rest, you're wrong! Just because you're guests doesn't mean I care!" Then he starts climbing up the ladder.

"Geez! What's wrong with him?" Daisy whispers.

  Mido looks down from the tree house and tells us to come up. We all climb up, and Mido climbs back down the ladder. We see a boy with blond hair and blue eyes, who's wearing a green outfit with a green hat.

"Hi! I'm Link! Welcome! Sorry about my place. It's a little messy. I didn't know I was going to have guests."

"It's ok. I'm Peach. And this is Daisy, Rosalina, and Samus."

"This is awkward."

"Why is this awkward?"

"Because I'm the only boy here. And you all look pretty." I had blushed a little.

"Thank you so much! You're so sweet!"

The rest of the evening, we were talking about all kinds of things. Like how we got here, what had happened to each of us, and so on. We were having fun, but we realized none of us have eaten dinner yet. Link climbed down the ladder and got us some food from one of the stores here in Kokri Forest. We ate and had a lot of fun! We talked about many things, and I vented out about what happened to me. Everyone supported me and Link said that they probably just wanted the best for me. It was true and I knew that but I didn't understand still why they had to handle it like this.

"Link."

"Yeah?"

"Why is it that all of those other kids had a fairy and you don't?"

"Deku tree always tells me it's because I am special and will be able to do many great things someday. Besides the fact, I'm the only child here that has always grown. None of the others ever have."

"Really? I wonder why?"

All of a sudden, we all got really tired. Rosalina and I were the last ones up.

  "Wow! Link is an awesome person! Don't you think?"

"Yeah."

"I was surprised that you were laughing. I'm not trying to be rude or anything. I just didn't think you were the kind of person to. I miss my parents even though my mom's trying to control my life! What about you? Do you miss your parents?"

"No."

"No? But why?"

"Because they never really love me like a parent should."

"What do you mean by that?"

"They aren't really as kind as they look. They can be cruel sometimes. Where I live, it's different. They're very strict, and always believe Robert!" It brings me horrible memories when I think of him. "Willy just agrees with Robert because he doesn't want to get hurt by Robert."

"Does he hit him or something?"

"Sometimes"

"What a jerk!! Willy is only 4 years old, Robert hits him, and they believe Robert instead?! That he doesn't hurt him at all!?"

"Yep!"

"Oh my gosh! I just want to smack your parents and him right across the face!"

"Wow! Didn't think you were that kind of person either."

"Hey!"

"I'm just teasing. Don't worry about it. Let's get to sleep."

"Yeah, you're right. I'm pretty tired from this whole day anyways. Good night."

"Good night."

After that, I started to question what I thought about Rosalina. Maybe she's just tired, so she's being nice. Or maybe it's because she really isn't mean at all and just tries to hide the softness inside of her. I thought about it for a few minutes, but then fell asleep.
