Chapter 33

"I see. Dad is doing what is his destiny and his purpose." Goron Link said. "I'm so happy! Now all the Gorons are at peace and we are free from Volvagia! Thank you so much! You really are the heroes dad talked about!" He gave us a big smile.

We made our way over to Zora's River, since we felt that we would find the Water sage there. We saw that everything was covered in ice, including the water.

"Something's not right here." I said. We entered into the throne room of King Zora.

"What the?" Ice covered his huge body. "He's frozen?!" Daisy said.

"This is not good." Navi said. "We have to find the source of this frozen winter." We walked to the lake where Jabu Jabu was and snow fell down along with all the water being made of ice.

"What's over there?" Peach said. There was an opening that she pointed to. We jumped onto the icy platforms and entered. It was an Ice Cavern.

(Navi's Point Of View):

We entered into the Ice Cavern and icicles fell from the ceiling. We ran through and found ourselves in a room made of ice.

"Freezards! Look out!" I said. Link turned around and the Freezard froze him. Peach went over and hit it with her knife. Its body full of ice broke into pieces and was destroyed.

"Link?! Are you ok? Link!" Peach said. No response. "It's ok Link! We'll get you out somehow!"

"Blue fire! We have to find blue fire! Follow me! And look out for other Freezards that may be in here!" We went from door to door until finding blue fire in front of our eyes. "There it is! Stay here! I took the bottle from Peach's bag, flew over, and caught the fire. I put the jar of blue fire inside. I grabbed the other, so that we could unfreeze King Zora with it, and caught some more blue fire. We went back over to Link and poured the fire on the ice. The ice melted off of Link.

"You ok?" Navi said.

"Yeah. Thanks." Link replied. We continued on until entering a cold, dark room. A white Wolfo appeared. "I can handle this." Link walked over with his shield in front of him. After the White Wolfo attacked with its claws, it let its guard down and Link stroke its cold, hard body with his sword. The Wolfo attacked again, with its claws hitting Link's shield. Link stroke it a few more times and it was destroyed. A treasure chest appeared. Link opened the chest and found some boots.

"The Iron boots! That'll be very useful for when we are underwater!" I said. They each grabbed the boots that were in the chest and put them in our bags. We turned around and saw Sheik.

"We meet again. If you came here to meet the Zoras, you wasted your time. This is all there is. With one exception, the Zoras are now sealed under this thick ice sheet. I managed to rescue the Zora princess from under the ice, but she left to head for the Water Temple. This ice is created by an evil curse. The monster in the Water Temple is the source of the curse. Unless you shut off the source, this ice will never melt. If you have courage enough to confront the danger and save the Zoras, I will teach you the melody that leads to the temple. The temple is located at Lake Hylia." Link nodded. "Time passes, people move. Like a river's flow, it never ends. A childish mind will turn to noble ambition. Young love will become deep affection. The clear water's surface reflects growth. Now listen to the Serenade of Water to reflect upon yourself." Sheik pulled out her harp. As she played the smooth and harmonious melody with Link, I felt a sense of peace and softness in the tune. "I'll see you again." Sheik once again disappeared with her Deku nut.

We went back into King Zora's throne room and used the blue fire I caught on the ice. King Zora was now back.

"Wha...what happened?" King Zora said. "I've... I've come back to life! Was it you who saved me? Don't be nervous! Hey! It's you children! From seven years ago! As an expression of my gratitude, I grant you these tunics. With this, you won't choke and drown underwater." King Zora handed the blue tunic to each of us.

We went to Lake Hylia and the others put on their Iron boots. We dived into the water and found that we were at the bottom of the lake.

"Whoohoo! This is awesome!" Daisy said. She started to run with her iron boots and scared the fish away underwater.

"You guys!" Peach said. "There's an opening right there! That must be the Water Temple!" We looked over and went over there. We entered inside.

We went inside and saw multiple openings.

"There must be a pattern to this, since there are openings down at the bottom of the pool of water as well." I said. We dived down to one of them and walked a short hallway. At the end of the hallway, we found Princess Ruto!"

"Oh you! If I'm right, Link?"

"It's so good to see you!" Peach said.

"It's all of you! And you Link... It's me! Your fiancée Ruto, princess of the Zoras!" Link gave her a shocked look. "I never forgot the vows we made to eachother seven years ago." Everyone, especially Daisy and Rosalina started to laugh so hard. "What's so funny? It's true, isn't it?" They bursted out with laughter even more, even I was crackin' up! "Anyways, you're a terrible man to have kept me waiting for these seven long years! But now is not the time to talk about love."

"Stop! Stop! You're killing me here! Even these tunics won't be able to stop us from choking pretty soon!" Daisy said. We all laughed so hard.

"What? It's not funny!" The laughing died down after a minute passed. "I'm sure you've seen it. Zora's Domain, totally frozen. A young woman named Sheik saved me from under the ice but my father and the other Zoras have not... yet. I want to save them all! I want to save Zora's Domain. You! You have to help me! This is a request from me, the woman who is going to be your wife." Daisy started to giggle.

"Sorry. Continue."

"Link, you have to help me destroy the evil monster in the Temple, Ok?" Link nodded his head. "Inside the Water Temple, there are three places where you can change the water level. Up there is one of them." She pointed up. "Swim to the top and find the switch to change the water level. I'm counting on you. She swam up. We followed her to the top but by the time we got to the top, she was gone. We got out and found the Triforce symbol on the wall. Link pulled out his ocarina and played Zelda's lullaby. The water from where we came from lowered down. We jumped back down and went into the main room of the temple.

We kept going deeper and deeper into the Water temple as we unlocked doors and defeated enemies along the way. We then entered into a dreamlike and illusive room with a green, but foggy-like sky, a tree with no leaves in the middle, and water that we walked on below us.

"Link..." Peach sounded worried. "Look down."

"What?" Link said.

"Look at us in the water. Then look at yourself." Link did just as Peach said and realized what Peach meant. His own reflection in the water was gone! Link looked over at the tree to see a shadow figure standing in the middle. We ran over and saw that the shadow figure was Link himself! Every move Link made, Dark Link made as well. He was fighting his own self!!!
