Chapter 38

(Peach's Point Of View):

I stared at the flames inside the wooden fire pit. Everyone sat in silence in the fire-lit cave, each staring into space, including myself, afraid of what might happen in the near future. A few hours went by of this. Dark clouds filled the sky and heavy rain started to pour down onto the earth. We came out of our comas and saw the darkness outside of the cave. Navi flew in front of us.

"I know that this is bad news. I know that this worries everyone, but we must keep going. We're almost there! We just need one more! One more! I'm just as concerned as all of you. What may happen to our family and friends but we must stay strong!"

Rosalina stood up "But what IF Ganondorf finds us?! What if he somehow steals the medallions we have?! Or we get killed for some reason?! Then what do we do?!" Everyone looked up with worry.

"Then we'll fight!" Daisy said. "We'll fight! No matter what!" Everyone nodded

"I don't understand all of you! How do you know we'll win! We may have an advantage now but Ganondorf, if he hasn't found out already, WILL find out sooner or later. He has hundreds, no, thousands, who follow his every command! He could order for us to be killed at any minute!! How could you all have so much hope that we stand a chance?!"

"Maybe you need to have a little more faith yourself." Navi replied. "Even if it seems like evil may have the advantage, we need to keep going! I know it's not easy to believe that something good is happening, but I can see it in all of you! Including you! I know that if we keep going and pull together, we can do this! Look at how many enemies we've faced along the way! If we didn't stand a chance, then we wouldn't be here now would we?! Besides, we have allies of our own too!" Navi said. Rosalina sat back down and we sat in silence again. We started to eat dinner when Daisy decided to let some light shine in the silence.

"So... Where exactly is this last temple we're supposed to go to?"

"This last temple is called the Spirit Temple. It's located in Gerudo Valley. When we're there, we must be VERY careful. This is not like other places in Hyrule."

"Why's that?"

"Because many of Ganondorf's followers are from there. Gerudo Valley... is where... Ganondorf comes from."

Daisy spits out her food. We immediately raised our heads back up.

"Wait... so you're saying that we're supposed to go to Ganondorf's hometown, even though there's more than a 50% chance that we'll get caught?!!!" Rosalina said.

"Well, what other choice do we have? That's where the last medallion is after all." Navi replied.

The next two days, we were on our way to our next destination. While on our travels, a great burst of wind started to blow our way.

"Why did it get so windy all of a sudden?!" Daisy said.

"Um, what is that noise?" I said.

"Behind us!" Rosalina yelled out. Our shocked faces saw a giant monster with giant spikes spun directly at us.

"Peahats! Run!" Navi screamed. We rode on our horses as fast as we could. The Peahat was coming very quickly towards us, cutting the grass that came in its way. Just as we thought it was about to get us, it started to slam into the walls of the pathway we entered into. Its spikes were apparently stuck to the walls.

"Woohoo! In your face!" Daisy said. We cheered as we continued to ride down the pathway.

We rode until we encountered Gerudo valley. However, the bridge that led to there was broken. Link backed up his horse, Epona, and jumped across to the other side. We followed him with our horses and did the same. We entered another pathway until seeing a Gerudo fortress. We rode to the gate that was keeping us from going in and saw there was a guard on our right.

"Excuse me...?" Link said

"You there! Holt! Put your hands up!" She said. We rose our hands.

"Wait! We don't wanna hurt anyone! We just need to..."

"No one is to enter here!" The guard whistled and jumped down. Other female guards came over with weapons in their hands. They started to tackle each of us down.

"Wait! You don't understand!" They tackled Link down to the ground and then tackled me, leaving me unconscious.
