(Link's Point of view):

"What the heck!" Darunia said. "Who are all of you? When I heard the song of the Royal Family, I expected their messenger had arrived but... you're all just little kids!"

"We are NOT little kids!" Rosalina said. Darunia gave her a glare and got furious

"Has Darunia, the big boss of the Gorons, really lost so much status to be treated like this by his Sworn Brother, the King? Now I'm really angry! Get out of my face, NOW!"

"Wait... but..."

"Are you asking why I'm in such a bad mood right now?"

"Because you're having a bad day?" Navi said nervously behind me.

"Ancient creatures have infested the Dodongo's Cavern! We've had a poor harvest of our special crop, Bomb flowers! Starvation and hunger because of the rock shortage! But... this is a Goron problem! We don't need help from any strangers!"

"But we..."

"Leave now..."

"But..."

"Now!"

"I think I know what'll cheer you up! Here." Darunia gave me a glare. I pulled out my ocarina and played the same song Saria taught me. I knew Saria always had a way of cheering others up. Darunia started to dance to the music I was playing!

"What a hot beat! Whoo-hoo! Now that's a beat to dance to!"

He was so happy and I was glad! Peach started to giggle. Rosalina smiled a little but was trying to hide it since she obviously didn't want us to see. Navi started dancing too with Darunia. I knew from that moment their was something special about this ocarina given to me. About the way it changed my life and other people's lives as well.

"Hey! What a nice tune! Just like that, my depression is all gone. Something just came over me! I suddenly wanted to dance like crazy!"

"I could tell." I said. He was cracking up!

"I like you! What's your name?"

"Link."

"Yeah. I like you! I am Darunia!" Then he looked at the others. "Well you ladies are stunning! What are your names?"

"Peach and Rosalina." I replied. Darunia looked over to Navi.

"My my Navi! You've grown into a beautiful young fairy!"

Navi's little light grew pink from blushing. "It's been a while Darunia."

"Yes it has. I'm the big boss of the Gorons! Was there something you wanted to ask me about?"

I remembered about our mission. "Oh right. Well we are looking for a spiritual stone. It's very important."

"What? You want the Spiritual stone of Fire, too?"

"Too?" Peach said. "Was there someone that may have asked for this stone too?"

"Yes there was in fact!"

"What did they look like?"

"Well, he had red hair and glaring evil eyes."

"I knew it!"

"It must be Ganondorf!"

"Yes! That must have been who it was!"

"What is this spiritual stone?" Rosalina said. "Why is it so important?"

"The Spiritual Stone of Fire, also known as the Goron's ruby, is our race's hidden treasure... But hold on---I'm not going to give it to you that easily."

"Ugh!" Rosalina replied.

"I'm not finished yet. If you want it so badly, why don't you go destroy the monsters inside of the Dodongo's Cavern and prove you're a real man? That way everybody can be happy again!"

"Cool! All right! Let's go!" Peach said.

"Nope! The rest of you stay here. Only Link can accomplish this task." Darunia said. I was shocked.

"What? You can't do that!" Rosalina said. Darunia knelt down to Rosalina's level.

"Oh yes I can beautiful." He knelt back up. Rosalina rolled her eyes.

"If you do it Link, I will give you anything you want, even the spiritual stone."

"Ok. You can go. " Rosalina said.

"Wait!" Peach said. "But what if he gets hurt?"

"Don't you have faith in your friend?"

"Brother actually." Peach said. "And yes. I do." She gave me a smile.

"I suppose you're right?" Rosalina said. "We need to have faith that our brother will be safe." Peach gave her a smile.

"I have something for you. I'm not really giving you this in return for anything, but take it anyway. If you wear this, even a little fella like you can pick up a Bomb flower using this." He handed Link a bracelet.

"What is that?" Navi said.

"The Goron's Bracelet. It gives you strength to pick up bomb flowers."

"Sweet!" Navi said.

"There's a boulder blocking the entrance. Get that boulder out of way and there's your way in. Good luck." Darunia said.

"Be safe Link!" Peach said while holding me in her embrace.

"You better come back in one piece. You hear me?" Rosalina said.

"Oh I will." I said. I walked out to where the boulder was. I picked up one of the flower bombs by there and threw it over by the boulder. I ducked down and it exploded. Then I went into the opening where The Dodongo's Cave lied.
