To think it was the most magical time of the year and yet little Omega could not work out why her mother didn't like Christmas, she was utterly confused as she and her brothers decorated the tree for Santa coming down the chimney. Her papa had baked his finest cookies and left some milk out, her daddy had helped her decorate the ceiling. While her dad helped set the lights up. She could only snuggle closer into bed covers, hoping to go to sleep when her eyes fell on a picture beside her bed, it was of herself when she was a four sitting on the sofa holding her twin baby brothers. She was accompanied by her mother who smiled down at her.
Meanwhile…
“Is he still out?” Wrecker half asked, already knowing the answer.
“Yeah, Tech, went with him to make sure he was okay” Hunter sighed.
“Why he doesn't like Christmas is still a mystery to me?” Echo grunted out, as the three sat down watching a film while waiting on their partners.
“It's a mystery to us all, I think Tech knows but we've never pushed because he'll tell us in his own time” Wrecker added as they glanced at the presents stacked under the tree.
“Let's just wait up for them and…” Hunter half finished as the movie caught their interests.
Somewhere else…
He was freezing but at least he had a winter coat, a bobble hat, a scarf and gloves on, but he did not mind as he stood a few feet away from his little secret. Without a care for getting his knees dirty, he kneeled down to place some Snowdrops down. His secret hope, as he removed a glove and traced the letters on the marble grave stone.
His eyes blinked back tears as he read the words over and over in his brain.
‘Hope Serenity Kenobi.
Born: 24/12/90.
Died:26/12/90
An angel taken too soon, loved by her mother and her grandparents. She will be loved always as the stars will watch over her’
Just below the words was a carving of the Kenobi symbol mixed with a symbol. To think he was once a Kenobi until he married his soulmate, yet he knew he was the son of a very powerful couple, his angel was his first child and the reason he couldn't celebrate anymore.
“Cross, we should head back” Tech’s voice had him standing as he kissed the gravestone and turned around only to be pulled into warm arms.
“I can't…”
“I know, but we must return home, the yard is closed now, my father promises to watch over her” Tech admitted.
“Max? What if I never celebrate again?”
Tech froze at hearing his name but knew Crosshair was vulnerable, he always was at this time of year, “Tyler you are the most important person to me at this time of year, your decision is final, if you can't celebrate, we will respect that and we will include you, as we always do unless you inform us otherwise but all I ask is you try and…”
Crosshair felt tears as he climbed into the passenger seat of his Shelby which Tech would be driving back, Tech leaned across and kissed him deeply.
“I'm here and I'm not leaving but I think it's time you tell the others, as we are married to them and they do question it every year” Tech stated, he reached for Crosshairs hand which ended up being his thigh as Crosshair looked out the window. Tech continued driving, one hand on the wheel, the other occasionally changing gears. “Just think about it” Tech said after five minutes of silence, the car arrived on their drive.
