One night's rest was more than enough to bring back Ophelia's Nova. Together with her partner, Ophelia again set up a new strategy on this second day. Surprisingly, the number of people decreased drastically in just one night. Naeva detected the number of Conquerors from 390 to only 140.

"As we thought, it would be easier to get rid of the other Conquerors and monopolize Ruby after being one of the few survivors. That's why people attacked each other in the beginning," Ophelia said.

Naeva thought so too, "Fighting while protecting something is more difficult than for the sake of seizing something."

She glanced at her new friend, "What do you want to do now, Ophelia?"

Ophelia thought for a moment.
"Hmm... It'll be troublesome and a waste of time if we approach Ruby one by one."

".... Naeva, which area does Ruby detect the most?"

"Still the East."

"East huh... Then which area has the least?" Ophelia asked again.

"North. Not a single Ruby has been detected in the North," Naeva replied.

Ophelia stretched her arms.
"Then let's go to the North."

"......"
Naeva's eyes rounded for a moment. Not because she didn't understand the meaning of going to the North, but because she didn't expect Ophelia to ask her to go to the North.

A faint, almost imperceptible smile was painted on her lips.
"I thought you would think otherwise."

Ophelia giggled, "No way. It would be foolish of us to go to the East."

Don't get it?

It's simple. Logically, the East has the most Ruby in total, which means that most Conquerors will gather there. If you are a Conqueror who has brought Ruby, which choice will you make?

A) Stay in the East and fight it out with other Conquerors who intend to take your Ruby.

B) Escape the meaningless battle to a quiet area to protect your Ruby.

The other Conquerors are not the Naeva and Ophelia who have the upper hand against the enemy. Their strengths were all still at the red level. Numbers would greatly affect the battle. And those who were outnumbered, certainly didn't want to take any chances.

Ophelia read that possibility. Although not all of them would flee to the North, but surely not a few would think so. Because besides the North not having many Conquerors, the North, which is an area of steep cliffs, is a good hiding place. As the saying goes, reading smart people is much easier than reading crazy people and stupid people.

After the barrier was removed, Ophelia and Naeva immediately launched into the North area while carrying their little Ruby.

Of course, not a few Conquerors crossed paths with them and realized that the little creature they were carrying was Ruby. Battles were inevitable, but the two always managed to take down all their enemies without wasting too much time.

Ophelia who acted as a damage dealer with her spear and Naeva who provided support with her ice magic became an unstoppable combo in the exam area.

Why didn't Ophelia use her writing magic?

It was because she intended to hide it temporarily until she fully mastered it. It would be more troublesome if her family found out about Calliope Pen's true prowess before she had the power to protect herself. Either way, her own family would try to take the Calliope Pen away from her. That was why Ophelia only showed that the Calliope Pen could turn into a spear and could return to its owner's hand when summoned. Just that alone made the Calliope Pen a good weapon but not as good as the other Calliope Family weapons. In other words, it was still within safe limits.
