"As you know, we, the Anubis of the Ptolemaios Sultanate believe in and worship the Sun God."
Cleopatra opened the explanation.

Ophelia nodded in understanding.
"I have heard that. Everyone believe the Sultanate Family is descended from the Sun God, right?"

"Yes. That belief is not without merit. We really are the descendants of the Sun God and there are those who have inherited the Sun God's abilities, although as time goes by, the generation with those abilities is getting smaller and smaller. The Sultanate family who inherited the ability itself is called the Sun Priest/Priestess," Cleopatra replied.

"Sun Priest... You mean the one who presides over the Holy Temple of the Ptolemaios Sultanate? I've heard that the Sun Priest is a descendant of the Sultan, but I don't think it's a descendant of the Sultan who inherited the ability of the Sun God," said Ophelia.

"Since Sun Priests can't have children and can't inherit the throne, all this time I thought that any Sultanate Family could become a Sun Priests if they wanted to."

"Obviously not possible, if all the Sultanate Families could become Sun Priests, the balance of power would be destroyed," Bere denied.

"Because in the Ptolemaios Sultanate, the power of the Sun Priests is right under the Grand Sultan."

"So that's it..."

Cleopatra smiled, "Yes. The current Sun Priest is our uncle. The Sun Priest will only retire when the next Sun Priest is older."

Bere gently stroked Cleopatra's hair.
"Then, the next Sun Priestess will be my sister, Cleopatra."

"!"

"There is usually only one child of the Sultan from each generation who inherits that ability, and it weakens with each generation."

"But Cleopatra is an exception. Cleopatra's Sun God ability is very strong. Maybe it's because of our mother's genes, or something else. Unfortunately, for that reason too, Cleopatra's eyes have been sightless since birth."

"Why...?" asked Ophelia.

Bere hesitated to answer, wondering how Cleopatra would feel. Cleopatra herself didn't seem to care. After all, it was something that the people of the palace knew.

"Because the Sun God's abilities are in our eyes," she replied carefree.

As if getting approval, Bere continued her explanation.
"The ability of the Sun God that is passed down every generation is the Eye of the Sun that can see the line of destiny."

"The Sun Priests/Priestess can see the destiny of living beings, both those that can be changed and those that cannot be changed. Or in other words, we can see the future," Cleopatra continued.

"!!"
