POV JJ

Everything was going great. We have had Luna for about 2 weeks now and Thanksgiving is next week. I've caught up on my paper work and we haven't gotten any crazy cases yet! Today is just another normal day in the office. It's almost lunch and We are all bored out of our minds. The case files have slowed and we are left with not much to do. I of course have a few other things I have to do but I really don't want to, so here I am playing paper football with Morgan. "Can you both stop. I'm trying to read this facinating documentary. It's actually about..." Spencer starts to ramble but Emily's groaning cuts him off making Morgan and I snicker. "We get it. You're a genius" She says tossing a pretzel into her mouth. "Oooh, did we restock the snacks?" I ask perking up. "Yes, cheeto breath. No one's touched your Cheetos" She teases making me roll my eyes. "What, it's my comfort food" I say getting up. "That is a natrual response, Your brain actually sends a trigger that releases dopamine making you have that feel good, feeling. It's very common, Caffine is another example. it's like a drug addiction basically" Spencer says smiling. I blink and shrug eating another cheeto as Morgan sits up, "So what your saying is that we are all basically drug addicts?" He questions and Spence thinks for a moment, "Ya, basically" he says nodding. "Huh, guess I can check that off of the list of things I want to try" Emily says making me snort. "Why would you want to be a drug addict?" Spencer questions making Morgan laugh a bit. "It was a... nevermind" Emily mutter making Spence shrug and go back to his book. As I sit down Hotch comes out of his office. "JJ, my office now" He says and walks out. I groan putting my cheetos down and wipe my hands off. "You thing we have a case?" Morgan asks. "If we do, not one that was sent to me" I say and walk up the stairs to his office. "Shut the door" He says as I come into veiw. I nod shutting it behind me then taking a seat across from him. "I was just informed of a hostiage situation at a bank downtown. I want you and Rossi to go down and take over. They said he is not in his right mind." Hotch says and I furrow my brows. "What does that mean?" I ask and he sighs, "They don't know how to deal with it and asking for a BAU to lead it." He says and I nod sighing. "The only issue is that you are blind inside. He cut the feed and lined the windows with the hostages." Hotch says and I nod. Before I can ask another question Rossi walks in. "The situation is escalating, we have to go" He says and I nod standing up. "We are providing back up for assistance. Call if you need us, Stay safe. Both of you" Hotch says and I nod. I head to my deak grabbing my gun and badge then putting my jacket on. "What's going on?" Emily asks. "Hostage situation downtown. Rossi and I and going in." I say and she nods. "Team, Round table now" Hotch says and the rest of them go as I walk to the elevator with Rossi.

"Suspects name is, Brian Bender 29 year old. He is an employee at the bank. He was fired cut backs" Hotch says over the phone. "This is personal then" Rossi says while driving. I sigh and nod. "I sent Morgan and Prentiss to his home to see if we can get a clearer picture on what he wants and from who" Hotch says and I nod. "What is his mental state?" I ask wanting to know how to approach this. "He is desperate, He lost everything. He will most likley be aggitated and confused." Spence says. "He's unpredicatble, that makes him dangerous. Don't let your gaurd down" Hotch says and I nod. We hand up and pull up going through the blockade. I look around noticing it's not far from The Row, maybe 10 minute walk. We get out and the press are all over. News channels and Paps. "There's someone important in there" I say to Rossi. He looks at the cameras and nods. We walk to the Captian in charge and he greets us both. "Thank you both for being here. This is a special case and we can use all the help we can get. We have a high profile state attorney in that bank, Janet Green (Made up). All eyes are on us. Well you now agents. This is your show. Our tech team is in that trailer and the phone is hooked up" He says and we nod. "I'm going to update Hotch. You go see what is up in there" Rossi says and I nod heading to the trailer.
