When I saw Sterling's dismembered body that night of the blast, my life was no longer worth living. Everything that I prayed for and wanted was put into him and died when I thought he was gone.

In the second month of being kept at Raven pack territory, I could feel movement inside my belly. My hope grew as my babies did....Yes, I was carrying two.

I hid my pregnancy from Davis. My babies had to stay protected until I was ready to escape.

My plan was to leave when I began showing, but soon I began to feel his presence....Sterling's presence.

I couldn't believe he was still alive.

His voice spoke to me one night, waking me out of my sleep. When my eyes opened, I could see a faint image of him but couldn't touch him.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

I was in shock. "G-Good."

"And my babies?"

My eyes began to water. "You know?"

He smiled. "Of course...I put them in there."

I giggled, wishing I could hug him. My heart was so scared yet optimistic. Davis didn't scare me cause I knew he needed me. But I could still see his frustration at me ignoring his presence as days went by.

"Sterling, are you coming back?"

"Yes. I'll see you soon, baby. I'm so proud of you."

I tried to touch his face, but my hand went through his image. He slowly faded away, and I felt my hope dim. Then my babies moved, and I fell back to sleep.

I'm looking at Tamryn, but the voice I hear isn't hers. She has a sinister smile along with abyss eyes, and I back away.

It's been six months of me seeing her sitting in the same chair, looking out the window. I'm finally being acknowledged but not by her.

BOOM! BOOM!

Two blasts sound off, and my eyes immediately look at the window. Fire and smoke were taking over different areas of my land. I looked at Tamryn...she still had the same wicked smile on her face.

"I admire your consistent hate of me, Davis. You have never wavered."

The voice that isn't hers came out of her mouth. I was dreading who it belonged to, but I knew.

"You're...You're dead."

"Am I?"

BOOM!

Another blast followed by yells and screams were heard outside. My mind told me to go out there, but something kept me from moving.

"You're possessing Tamryn...are you a fucking demon? How are you doing this?!"

She moved the pillow from in front of her and stood up. My eyes widened with a pain in my chest.

"Tamryn, no."

Her eyes went back to normal while the flames outside began to spread to other homes. She rubbed her stomach and I felt my anger rise.

"You fucking whore. You let him claim you?!"

Of course the answer was obvious. The fear in Tamryn's eyes let me know she was no longer possessed. At that moment nothing mattered as I moved closer to her.

"Stay away from me, Davis."

I remembered what happened the last time I touched her. My gun was on my hip and my hand grabbed it. Then I point it at her head.

She gasped, shutting her eyes closed and covering her stomach. Tears began to fall from her eyes.

"Davis, please don't."

"I tried to be patient with you, Tamryn. My pack accepted you as my mate and would have protected you as such. I would've given you the life you deserved...I was..."

My words were interrupted by excruciating pain in my body. I lowered the gun while my eyes saw a fist sticking out my torso. In its grips were my intestines and blood spilled from my mouth onto the floor.

"St-Sterling." I struggled to speak.

My hand dropped the gun after he ripped his fist from my body. I fell to my knees, watching him hold Tamryn and kiss her soft full lips.

"No..."

I was losing blood, knowing my injuries were too severe to heal. Sterling looked at me, holding Tamryn's hand....I couldn't believe it.

"Son-of-a-bitch."

After all these years, Aubreo finally got me.
