It was only a matter of time before I was moving on from being Sterling's employee. He is so fucking fake and I know he still wants Tamryn.

Before, I could confidently say I knew she wouldn't step out on me. But now, I'm having major doubts.

While on our convention trip partying, I caught the eye of this fine ass blonde chick. I love Tam, but this girl was bad as fuck and I would definitely risk it for a quick hit.

Her name was Vicky and dealt with this big time weapons dealer. I became interested and she introduced me to James Vito. Me and his folk partied my last night, which led me to be invited to his upcoming birthday bash.

They were from the same area as me so I accepted the invite.

Since being back home, working for Onyx Customs was becoming less and less exciting. Then I had a talk with James and his words confirmed my feelings.

"Sterling Aubreo is notorious for being very cut-throat and disloyal to people outside his family. If you are being brought in and treated well it's because you got something he wants or is using you."

My mind immediately went to Tamryn.

"Do you like working for him?"

"It's cool. I get to do what I love and be around like-minded people."

"Are you paid well?"

"Yeah, pay is pretty decent."

James smirked and could sense my mood.

"What's your beef with Sterling?"

I cleared my throat at his directness. My mind was telling me to chill but my heart was saying something else.

"My fiance."

"Is she the initiator?"

"No...but she's really friendly in general. So of course, Sterling is using that to his advantage."

"There's a lot of women out here that would be with you. Why are you stuck on her? She your first fuck or something?"

"No, but I'm hers and I've been with her since she was 16."

"Oh, I see....Territorial thing. You want to remain her one and only. I get it."

Vicky walked over to me and sat on my lap.

"I know you care about your fiance but you need to keep your options open. I have to make a run in a few days and need an extra man for the job."

"I can do it."

James smirked. "I was hoping you'd say that. It's a $5,000 incentive and you'll get the other $20,000 when the delivery is made."

That sounded like easy money to me. Vicky began to rub her hand against my chest and it took everything in me not to get brick hard.

"So, Larenz...do we have a deal?"

"Yes, sir."

I went to move Vicky so I could stand and shake his hand but he stopped me.

"No, relax. I will get you the info on the run and the car rental details. Wait for my text and follow the directions."

I gave him a nod.

"Go easy on him, Vicks."

She got off me then proceeded to get undressed. We were in his office and I looked around to make sure everyone had left.

"Ready for me baby?" She unbuckled my jeans.

"Hell yeah."

"Did you get him!"

My driver shouted as we sped off away from the scene. I knew there was no way I could've missed Aubreo.

"Yeah, I got him."

My phone buzzed and I answered.

"Yes, Alpha. We got him."

"Any other casualties?"

"Possibly a female. We saw her go into the building with him.

"Did you use all the wolfsbane ammo?"

"I emptied the clip."

"Okay, you two lay low for a few weeks. I'll keep you updated on his condition."

I hung up while my adrenaline began to calm. There was a possibility that Sterling may survive this. And even if he does, this will send a message to his pack not to fuck with Alpha Davis or the Raven pack.

My phone buzzed again, it was James.

"Yo, Vito. What's going on?"

"I got another guy for the drop. And guess who he works for?"

I smirked. "Who?"

"Sterling Aubreo."
