Arriving at the Florida Mall, the USWNT players scramble out of the van and take a look around.
"Are you guys sure this is where you want to go shopping? According to Google, there's a couple of others to choose from like the Mall of Millenia or even some Outlets." Sam turns her phone around to show the screen showing the available options.
"It has to be here; this mall has a Crayola Place and I want to get some cool crayons and colouring stuff for a present."
They all laugh and look at Mal, "Admit it, Mally, the crayons are for you not your niece."
Mal looks at Sonnett, "We could have left you back at the hotel and would have if Linds didn't give us money to keep you away from her for a couple of hours."
Emily looks at Mal, "She gave you money? Really? What's my share?"
Mal shakes her head, "Nadda. She didn't give me anything unfortunately, aside from some Advil in order to be able tolerate you. Now, time's a wasting and I want to get my shop on!"
"Maybe you should have went with the adults then."
Mal looks at them, "I asked, but most already had plans or commitments, so, I got stuck with you Sonnett and everyone else."
The group chuckles at the encounter between the two players before walking in the direction of the doors and entering the mall. Walking inside they can't help but notice the amount of security present and a long line forming.
Rose points at a large sign, "OH MY GOD!"
"You okay, Rosie?"
"Selena Dagger is going to be here soon! I love her and her music; do you think we could get a picture with her and maybe an autograph, for Mary?"
"Rosie, you do realize that we're all going to be meeting her in two days when she sings the anthem at our game, right?" Sam pipes up as she looks in Abbys direction with a large smile plastered across her face.
"Oh, I forgot." Mal and Emily hug Rose, "It's okay, Rosie, thinking takes a lot of work."
"Not, like you'd know anything about that, Sonny!"
"Hey! I think sometimes." They playfully start pushing each other around and laughing.
"Alright, children; how about we split up and meet back here in a couple of hours?"
They all nod and the threesome of Mal, Rose and Emily head in one direction while Sam and Abby head in the opposite one. As soon as the other are beyong hearing range, Sam stops Abby, "So, you're girl is here; are you planning on doing anything about it?"
Abby half smiles, "She isn't my girl, Sam."
"Semantics; she will be soon enough!"
Abby smiles and shakes her head, "You're putting the cart ahead of the horse again."
"Not this time, I'm not. Come on, the least we can do is go check out how she looks, you know, you wanna." Sam winks and hip checks Abby causing them both to laugh. "Fine. Let's go."
After making their way past the long lineup inside the barricade and being stopped a few times to take pictures after being recognized by fans, they catch a glimpse of Sarah sitting behind a table smiling as she engages with a fan and signs a photo for them. As the small group leaves the stage where Sarah is, a man leans over and says something to her, Abby watches as she nods, stands up and follows him down the stairs of the stage, over to where a young girl is sitting in a wheelchair alongside her family.
