Knock ... knock ... knock

"Sam, can you get that?"

"You're closer."

"And I'm naked! Just got out of the shower, remember?"

Sam chuckles and climbs off the bed from where she was watching a show and answers the door. As she opens the door, she smiles and hugs Sarah before putting her finger to her lips.

"Abs, I'm going to hang out with Rose for a bit."

"Okay. Is that who was at the door?"

Sam walks out, not responding to question and lets Sarah into the room to surprise her wife.

Abby walks out of the bathroom, wrapped only in a towel, and walks over to her suitcase to grab clothes to put on as she bends over, arms wrapped around her and lips ghost across her shoulders.

"I really hope you're my wife, because otherwise things are about to be weird."

Sarah chuckles. "Weird, huh?"

Abby turns around and smiles before the two share a kiss. "I thought your flight didn't get in until later?"

"My original flight wouldn't have arrived until 7:30 this evening, however, I may have done some searching and came up with an earlier one that got in a little over an hour ago. I've already checked in, dropped my stuff off and sent Sam a message asking your room number."

"And I'm glad you did. I missed you." They share a kiss before Abby returns to getting herself dressed. "I made plans to go out with some of the girls for supper, because I wasn't expecting you to be here for it."

Sarah smiles and nods. "I know all about your plans and the restaurant has added another seat to the reservation for me. Am I dressed, okay?"

Abby eyes her up and smiles. "How is it that you make wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans look sexy as fuck?"

Sarah chuckles. "And here I thought it was the Nike cap that brought it all together."

"That too." Abby chuckles. "How about you tell me how you managed to get an invite to supper while I put my makeup on?"

"Same way as I found out what room you were in; messaged a friend, in this case, your roomie. Sam mentioned about you planning on going out for supper with some of the girls and after I let her know I'd be in town before you left, she called and had the reservation changed to include me. Who all is planning on joining us at the restaurant and do I need to prepare myself for an onslaught of questions?"

"I'm sure that Sonnett is going to have questions for you; she seems to still be having issues with understanding that you're Selena on stage, but Sarah off it. Small group outing tonight, just Sam, Rose, Lindsey, Emily, myself and now you. They're probably all going to be asking about the wedding and what songs you're going to be performing for them."

"Abs, would you be okay with me performing Golden Girl in front of your teammates? I was thinking about closing out with it."

Abby smiles and nods, "Of course, it's not like any of the other girls are married to a singing superstar, who wrote a song for and about them. It'll give me major props and it's better than listening to some of the others ramble on about how many home runs, touchdowns and or tackles their significant other has on their resume."

Sarah chuckles. "I'm sure it wasn't long ago that you were part of that conversation, Babe."

"Guilty, however, it's no longer the case and now I get to brag about all the awards, chart toppers and sales my wife has and will continue to have well beyond their playing careers. Not to mention, I also don't need to worry about you getting hit with a paternity suit down the line."
