Sarah walks the length of the sidewalk for the 10th time as she awaits a message from Abby confirming that her wife has finally touched down and is on her way out of the airport. She goes to scratch at her nose only to remember that she's masked up and temporarily lifts it to ease the itchy spot. Abby made it clear that under no circumstances was she to enter the airport, lest she be surrounded by the general public and possibly come into contact with the virus which is still making waves around the world.
Her phone starts ringing, "Abs?"
"Yeah. I'm just waiting for my bags and I'll be out."
Sarah's face lights up as she spots her wife walking out the doors and scanning the area for her. Not wanting to cause a scene, she waves to Abby and allows her to come towards her. Abby drops her bags and they hug and hold on to one another, just enjoying the feeling of being back together.
"You look tired." Abby moves a few strands of hair away from Sarah's face.
"I barely slept a wink last night; I was so excited about you coming home."
Abby smiles, "I'm glad to be home. Can we please get out of here? I really want to kiss my wife and I'm not sure how many eyes are on us currently."
Sarah chuckles, "Your wish is my command, beautiful."
Placing Abby's bags in the trunk, they climb in the car and make quick work of removing their masks.
Sarah drives a short distance before pulling over, undoing her seat belt and leaning over to share a kiss with Abby. Smiling, she puts her belt back on and then drives them back to the house, where Pam is waiting with supper for all of them.
Pulling in to the driveway and putting the car in park, Sarah leans back in her seat.
"What?"
"I'm just happy to have you home, Abs."
"You shouldn't be."
Sarah looks at her, "Why ... not?"
Abby smiles, "Because, I'm going to be right back on your ass about working out, getting in shape and eating better."
"Speaking of being on my ass; how about we head right up to the bedroom and get re-acquainted?"
"Always knew you only wanted me for my body."
Sarah chuckles, "In my defence, it is a mighty fine body. Ready to head inside?"
"Let's do it, superstar."
As Abby pulls her bags out of the trunk, Sarah takes them from her. "Let me. Besides that, I'm fairly certain you're about to get hit by a flying brown hairball who's been missing her Momma."
Abby chuckles and nods, before closing the trunk and following Sarah to the door. No sooner are they inside and Bobby comes running and sliding across the floor, yapping at Abby until she picks her up and does her best to hold the not so chill pupper in her arms as she gets licked on the face.
Sarah can't help but burst out laughing as the dog accidentally tongues Abby causing her wife to let out some indiscernible mumbles before setting the canine down.
Pam appears from the stairs, walks over and hugs Abby, "Welcome home."
Abby smiles. "Thanks. I hope these two haven't been getting into too much trouble while I was away."
"Bobby's an angel, your wife on the other hand ... well, I'm sure now that you're back, she'll calm down a bit." Abby chuckles at the response.
"I wasn't that bad, was I?" Pam looks at her daughter and Sarah knows the answer to the question.
