Sarah stands off to the side, smiling and softly waving to Abby as she and the rest of the United States Women's National Team make their way out of the hotel to board the bus that will deliver them to Bank of America Stadium for their match.

As the bus drives off her phone buzzes and she pulls it out from her pocket and smiles at the screen.

New Message

Abs: Don't look so sad superstar; I'll see you soon. Love you.

Sarah: Can't help it; my gorgeous and talented girlfriend abandoned me.

Abs: Lol. Drama Queen. Also, Pat had a change in work plans today, so, he's on his way here to take in the game. Should arrive in time to meet you at the stadium.

Sarah: I was just realizing that I don't know any of the friends and or family members of your teammates and it would have been a long and awkward time sitting by myself and being surrounded by them.

Abs: I've seen the way you work a room; you would have been fine. I know it's not the most ideal situation, but, it's necessary in order to hopefully maintain your cover.

Sarah: I know; doesn't mean, it doesn't suck though!

Abs: If I promise to kiss your feeling better when I see you, will that make it better?

Sarah: Maybe a little.

Abs: You'll be fine.

Sarah: At least Pat knows who I am, so he can intervene if necessary and we can grab a beer and catch.

Abs: Don't drink too much; remember we've got plans for supper with the girls after the game.

Sarah: Are there going to be others there as well?

Abs: Probably, I never thought about that. Do you want to cancel?

Sarah: Let me think about it and I'll let you know later. Good luck today, beautiful; although, I'm sure you guys don't need it.

Abs: Time for me to get focused. ❤️❤️❤️

Sarah: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sarah spends the next while going through her emails and responding to them and her messages as well as confirming her schedule for the next few weeks with Tanner. She lets out a groan when she sees that a handful of days have been blocked off for her to fly to New York in advance of the Jingle Ball and fulfill all her obligations on behalf of the label. Noticing that Tanner has also gone ahead and highlighted one of the days, she clicks to open it up and smiles when she sees what's written on her schedule for that day.

New Message

Sarah: Hold did you get them to agree to let me do a hospital visit?

Tanner: Took you long enough to notice, it's only been on there for a few days now. I worked my magic and sold them on the fact that it would be a social media goldmine to have both you and Lauren photographed together passing out presents and meeting with children in the hospital around Christmas time. Also, Lucy had a reminder in her notes to confirm your yearly trip to CHLA and I knew that you'd be upset about not being able to do it this year.

Sarah: Is there any extra time in my schedule to be able to do the LA one as well?

Tanner: I'll see what I can do. Don't worry about purchasing gifts, I already went ahead and co-ordinated with them on a list. Once I receive it, I'll look after having them purchased, wrapped tagged and delivered in time for you to hand them out.

Sarah: You know last year I did all the shopping and wrapping.

Tanner: No time for that this year. Sorry.
