DADA'S PET

Tony had been waiting for nine months for this day to finally come, his patience was slowly draining, he couldn't wait to hold his new born baby for the every first time. Pepper was in the OT while Tony was getting restless outside.

After taking the 205# round of the hall, he was basically passing up and down, Strange, Natasha, Thor, Clint, Bruce, Steve and Bucky had arrived.

"Chill man." Clint said to Tony who had completed another ten rounds.

"How can I!?" Tony replied.

"Tony, I will cast a spell on you if you don't stop taking rounds." Strange said.

"I can't." Tony said.

Steve made Tony seat on the chairs on the side but the soon-to-be-dad was getting even more restless.

"Boss, your heart rate has increased dramatically!" JARVIS said from Tony's watch.

"Tony!?" All the Avengers said at once.

"Ok, ok! I'll have water." Tony said as he drank the water which Thor gave him but he couldn't because the nurse came out.

"Mr. Stark! It's a boy!"

All the Avengers began to hug Tony in happiness and the dad couldn't control himself from shedding few tears. His happiness was immeasurable after hearing the news.

"Congratulations!" Bruce said as he gave Tony a handkerchief.

"We've got a new member!" Natasha said in complete excitement.

Soon, another nurse came out with the new-born and handed him over to his dad. The boy had the cutest brown curls but they couldn't make out the eye colour. Tony refused to let him to go even for a minute. The Avengers were awed at the sight of the cutest boy on earth.

"How did he get so cute?" Thor asked in a soft voice.

"So, what's gonna be his name?" Bucky asked.

"How about Joy?" Steve suggested.

"Nah." Strange said.

"Walter?" Thor said.

"No." Natasha said.

"Merlin?" Bruce suggested.

"Na." Bucky replied.

"He's obviously going to be his mum and dad's pet. So we need a good name." Clint added.

"Why don't we find a name which is somewhat similar to 'pet'?" Bruce suggested.

The Avengers kept saving names which began with 'P' or sounded like 'pet' but each one kept rejecting the other's suggestion. Tony, meanwhile, had his eyes stuck on his son he never thought that a boy, who was not even a hour old brought him happiness which he had never experienced before.

"Peter". Tony finally spoke up.

"That a nice one." Clint said.

"Completely agreed." Strange added.

"Who could name better?" Thor joked.

After sometime they went in the room where Pepper was and Tony handed her their son. She couldn't stop crying in happiness at the sight of something so beautiful.

"Peps, how about the name, Peter, for this little ball of happiness?" Tony asked.

"That's perfect." She replied.

"Hello, Peter." They said at once to their son and he opened his cute, bright brown eyes.

Everyone's heart melted at the sight and they couldn't wait to play with the little one.

FEW WEEKS LATER

The Avengers were busy with few missions after Peter's birth but didn't miss to visit him whenever they returned.

They came to Tony's place one evening to meet the boy. Tony was carrying Peter around and the boy seemed comfortable in his dad's arms. The only two people who he saw everyday were Pepper and Tony, he knew that they were his parents but he did need time to get used to the other Avengers.

"Hey buddy." Thor greeted the tiny tot.

They all waved at the kid and Tony brought him to them and they sat on the couch.

"How's Pepper?" Natasha asked.

"She's well. She's sleeping in the room. I thought I'll take Pete for a round." Tony replied.

"I can't wait to play with him." Strange said.

"Your Cloak has already started." Steve said as he tried his best to suppress a laugh.

"What do you mean?"

"Look up!" Clint said.

Strange looked up and saw the Cloak making cat ears, devil horns, donkey ears and all kind of stuff to impress the kid.

"Why me?" Strange asked.

"Who else will it do to?" Bucky said and the cloak made cat ears on him. It then went to Thor, Natasha and the others.

"We have a baby and a thing with a mind of a baby." Steve said.

"I know." Bruce added.

The boy did giggle at the sight but he soon wanted his dad to carry him and put him to sleep. Tony got up and began to take rounds of the room to put Peter to sleep while the Avengers couldn't help but just look at them.

"He truly is daddy's pet." They said.

Tony smiled at his friends and went in the room to put him to sleep beside Pepper and kissed each of them on their heads before going out and joining his friends.
