you would be lying if you said taehyung wasn't the love of your life. you've been together for a little over two years, and have some history. he's stuck it out with you through thick and thin, and you could orbit the earth a billion times and still not find someone as special and dear as him.

for your anniversary, taehyung had something special planned. it should've been your role, right? nah, he was all into it. he wouldn't tell you, though. it ruins the element of surprise! he said. all you knew was that there was some garden walkthrough, or some shit like that.

"you ready for today?" taehyung said with a cheeky grin, pinching your side. you couldn't help but smile back, nudging his hip with yours.

"why, yes, i am, mister kim," you replied. grabbing your bag, you slung it over your shoulder and followed taehyung out the door, hand in hand.

"okay, so look, today i have curated a pretty dope scavenger hunt if i do say so myself," he paused his speech to give himself a pat on the back, "and i think you'll like it. matter of fact, i know you will." he glanced at you just for a second, sharing a smile with you and going back to the road.

he eventually pulled into a forest preserve and started walking, you following close behind him. "wow, i always thought if you were gonna murder me you'd have more class than this. a forest, tae? really?"you joked, making him roll his eyes in response.

"good one, but no. think about it, if i really wanted to, i'd have been done it. unfortunately, this is the hunt. i will give you clues from these little notecards and help you find the 7 things scattered around the forest." he sounded so excited explaining his activity; it made him seem like he was a kid again. you couldn't help but gush at his adorable gesture.

"well what are you waiting for? let's go!"

"this is what i gave to you on your 25th birthday," taehyung reads the index card, smirking. "walk twelve paces north and find the tree to your left hand side holding the item."

you scoffed. "there's hella trees here, taehyung, hello, it's a forest?" you said, looking around.

"i promise these'll get you where you need to be. just do as it says. go!" he points in the direction you need to go in, and you follow.

as soon as you saw the tree, you knew it was the one. he had taken the time to carve your initials along with a smiley face and a 25 in the bark as well. you stuck your hand into the opening of the wood, and pulled out a diamond tennis bracelet with a post-it stuck onto it. "are you serious? i've been looking for this forever!"

"keep that sticky, that's your next clue!" he shouts from behind you, jogging towards you.

you found all seven items, the last one being a key. taehyung also put a blindfold as item number four, and now put it on you as he guided you... somewhere. he took the key from you and you heard a lock click, and a door creaking open. the smell of cinnamon and all sorts of sweets filled your nostrils, he knew sweets were your kryptonite. he gently slid the blindfold off, revealing to you a beautiful cottage with fireplaces aglow, food all around, lots of comfy seats, and an entire orchestra! all you could do was look in awe.
