Laying down on the mattress in our hotel room watching tv I look at the sound of Sam stirring awake most likely from a bad dream as I look over at him with worry evident in my eyes as he glances at me before grabbing a pen and note pad to draw on.

"All right. I've been cruisin' some websites. I think I found a few candidates for our next gig. A fishing trawler found off the coast of Cali...it's crew vanished. And, uh, we got some cattle mutilations in West Texas." Dean said looking up at us as I nodded at him before turning to look at Sam who was still drawing "hey! Are we boring you with this hunting evil stuff?" I asked him as I threw a pillow at him "no. I'm listening. Keep going." Sam replied.

"And, here, a Sacramento man shot himself in the head. Three times. Any of these things blowin' up your skirt, pal?" Dean asked him as I got up sitting next to Sam to see what he was drawing noticing it was a tree with no leaves on it "wait. I've seen this." Sam said suddenly as he got up "seen what?" Dean asked him as he walked over and started searching through his duffel bag for something.

"What are you doing?" I asked him as I watched him pull out Dad's journal out of his bag and plopped it on the bed next to me. He pulled a family photo out of Dad, Dean, himself, me and mom "Dean, I know where we have to go next." Sam said, looking up at us "where?" I asked him "back home...back to Kansas." Sam replied with seriousness in his voice "okay, random. Where'd that come from?" Dean asked him as he walked over showing him the picture.

"All right, um, this photo was taken in front of our old house, right? The house where Mom died?" Sam questioned him "yeah." Dean replied in confusion "and it didn't burn down, right? I mean, not completely. They rebuilt it, right?" Sam asked us "I guess so, yeah. What the hell are you talkin' about?" I replied "okay, look, this is gonna sound crazy, but...the people who live in our old house...I think they might be in danger." Sam said "why would you think that?" Dean asked him.

"Uh...it's just, um...look, just trust me on this, okay?" Sam said as he started packing his duffel bag "wait, whoa, whoa, trust you?" I said getting up and walking over to him "yeah." Sam said "come on, man, that's weak. You gotta give me a little bit more than that." Dean replied "I can't really explain it, is all." Sam replied while shrugging "well, tough. I'm not goin' anywhere until you do." Dean said "I have these nightmares." Sam muttered.

"We've noticed." I said looking up at him "and sometimes...they come true." Sam replied looking at us as me and Dean looked at him in shock "come again?" Dean asked "look, Dean...I dreamt about Jessica's death...for days before it happened." Sam explained "Sam, people have weird dreams, man. I'm sure it's just a coincidence." Dean replied.

"No, I dreamt about the blood dripping, her on the ceiling, the fire, everything, and I didn't do anything about it 'cause I didn't believe it. And now I'm dreaming about that tree, about our house, and about some woman inside screaming for help. I mean, that's where it all started, man, this has to mean something, right?" Sam questioned us "I don't know." I muttered looking at him "what do you mean you don't know, Addie? This woman might be in danger. I mean, this might even be the thing that killed Mom and Jessica!" Sam exclaimed.

"All right, just slow down, would ya? I mean, first you tell me that you've got The Shining? And then you tell me that I've gotta go back home? Especially when..." Dean said before cutting himself off mid-sentence "when what?"Sam asked him "when I swore to myself that I would never go back there." Dean said getting choked up on his words "look, Dean we have to check this out. Just to make sure." Sam muttered "I know we do." Dean replied.
