"He said that he wanted me to watch out for you...to take care of you." Dean sighed "he told you that a million times." Sam said "no, this time was different. He said that I had to save you." Dean explained "save me from what?" Sam asked him "he just said that I had to save you, that nothing else mattered; and that if I couldn't, I'd-." Dean said "you'd what, Dean?" Sam asked "that I'd have to kill you. He said that I might have to kill you, Sammy." Dean said "kill me? What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Sam asked him.

"I don't know." Dean sighed "I mean, he must have had some kind of reason for saying it, right? Did he know the demon's plans for me? Am I supposed to go dark side or something? What else did he say, Dean?" Sam asked him "nothing, that's it, I swear." Dean said "how could you not have told me this?" Sam asked him "because it was Dad, and he begged me not to." Dean said "who cares?! Take some responsibility for yourself, Dean! You had no right to keep this from me!" Sam yelled.

"You think I wanted this? Huh? I wish to God he'd never opened his mouth. Then I wouldn't have to walk around with this screaming in my head all day." Dean said "we've just got to figure out what's going on, then, what the hell all this means." Sam said "we do? I've been thinking about this. I think we should just lay low. Ya know? At least for a while. It'd be safer. And that way I can make sure-." Dean said "what? That I don't turn evil? That I don't turn into some kind of killer?" Sam said "I never said that." Dean said "jeez, if you're not careful, you will have to waste me one day,
Dean." Sam said.

"I never said that! Damn it, Sam, this whole thing is spinning out of control. All right? You're immune to some weirdo demon virus, and I don't even know what the hell anymore. And you're pissed at me, I get it. That's fine. I deserve it. But we lay low until we figure out our next move, okay?" Dean yelled "forget it." Sam said as he took a sip of his beer and turned to the lake "Sam, please, man. Hey, please. Just give me some time. Give me some time to think, okay? I'm begging you here, please. Please." Dean said.

Sam had been quiet for a few days. Dean wanted to lay low, so we had been staying at a motel. It had been pretty relaxing, just walking around the town and watching movies together at night as Dean and I took off after we loaded the Impala and shortly after.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Can you answer that?" Dean asked me as I picked the phone up off the seat in between us and answered "hello?" I said "Addison? It's Ellen. Is Dean there?" She asked me "yeah, he's driving. Have you heard from Sam?" I asked her "I have, but he made me promise not to tell you two where he is." Ellen said "Ellen, please. Something bad could happen to him." I pleaded "now, Addison, they say you can't protect your loved ones forever. Well, I say screw that. What else is family for? He's in Lafayette, Indiana." She replied "thanks." I said hanging up and looking over at Dean "Lafayette, Indiana." I said.

Lafayette, Indiana

When we got to Lafayette, we drove all over the town. Luckily, it was not an exceptionally large town. It didn't take long before we spotted Sam at the Blue Rose Motel. Dean pulled into the parking lot, and then we saw Sam in his window "oh, thank god, you're okay." Dean sighed as he walked away, we could see a woman standing in the room with him "oh, you're better than okay. Sam, you sly dog." Dean said "gross." I said smacking Dean in the shoulder as he looked over and laughed "what do we do now?" I asked.

Suddenly, a gunshot was fired in the distance, and Sam's window shattered. Dean put his hand on my back and ducked over me "get down! Get down." Dean yelled as I got off of my seat and crouched below the dashboard while Dean opened his door and got out "Dean!" I shouted "stay there!" He yelled as he ran off. The gun went off two more times while he was gone, and a few minutes later, the back door opened, and a body was placed in the back.

When the front door opened, it was Gordon who was sitting in the driver's seat. I quickly got up and looked over the seat to see Dean lying in the back "sit down." Gordon said as I turned to face him noticing he had a handgun pointed at me "what the hell are you doing?" I asked him "I'm here for-." Gordon said as I punched him in the face as hard as I could and went for the door, but he locked it and took off "you probably did that because you don't think I would actually shoot you. But I can't have you warning Sam." Gordon said.

"I think you already took care of the warning.
And as for shooting me, I wouldn't put much past you. You did kill your own sister, right?" I said crossing my arms and stared at him, his gun still pointing at me "it wasn't my sister." Gordon said "oh, right." I said glaring at him "why do you hate me so much?" Gordon asked me "well, let's run down the list. You just tried to kill one of my brothers. Then you knocked out my other one and then stole his car. You're currently pointing a gun at me. And you're sadistic." I replied.

"That's a pretty big word for a little girl." Gordon said as I stared at him in annoyance "you really think I'm sadistic? I'm just doing my job." Gordon said "killing Sam is your job?" I asked "there are a lot of things you don't understand." Gordon said "whatever. Where are we going?" I asked him "and stop smiling at me while you have a gun pointed at me...or ya know what? Never- never smile at me." I said "just sit back and enjoy the ride." Gordon said.

As I sat back so I could see Gordon completely, and we were silent for a while "can you open the window a little? It's hot." I said "all right, but don't try anything." Gordon said as he rolled the window down a little. We were silent for a few more minutes, and then I quickly reached forward, pushing the magazine clip on his gun. When the magazine popped out of the bottom, I caught it. I quickly motioned, throwing it out of the window but slipped it up my jacket sleeve instead.

"I thought I told you not to try anything. That wasn't very nice." Gordon said "I didn't want the gun pointing at me anymore." I said "I guess there's no need for this anymore." He said tossing it on the seat as I quickly grabbed it and slid the magazine back in, pointing the gun at him "you're sneaky. Gonna be a good hunter someday." He said "shut up." I muttered "what's your plan here, little Addie? You shoot me now. There's a good chance we all die." Gordon said "hopefully, Dean wakes up by the time we get where we're going." I shrugged "and if he doesn't? Then what?" He asked me as I furrowed my brow "I-." I stuttered.

"Because when we get there, I will easily take that back." Gordon said as I glared at him and didn't say anything "look, I get you have to put on a tough act because you're small and young, but I have no intention of hurting you or Dean, so-." Gordon said "no, just Sam." I said "I'II explain everything when we get there." Gordon said as we drove for a little bit longer, and then we pulled up in front of an old, broken-down farmhouse "what's your move?" Gordon asked me "what's yours? You can't bring us both in at the same time." I said.

"I was hoping you could walk in calmly while I bring Dean in. But I'm guessing that's not going to happen." Gordon said as I shook my head, still pointing the gun at him "I was hoping that wouldn't be the case." Gordon said as he quickly swiped the gun, punched me in the face, and then everything went black.
