Sitting up suddenly, hearing Sam yell. When I looked up, Sam was on the floor by his bed, sitting up, completely freaked out as I jumped out of bed and ran to him "Sam?" I asked suddenly, the door opened, and Dean walked in, snacking on a piece of jerky and carrying a six-pack of beer. When he saw Sam on the floor, he walked over to us "what's going on?" Dean asked "we have to go." Sam said, getting up "where?" Dean asked him "Rivergrove, Oregon." Sam said, grabbing his stuff and leaving the room while I quickly packed my bag. Once I was done, Dean grabbed both of our bags, and we went out to meet Sam, who was already sitting in the Impala.
Dean started the car, and we hit the road.

"What happened?" Dean asked "I had another vision

"What happened?" Dean asked "I had another vision." Sam said as Dean nodded "yeah, I figured that part out." Dean said "I saw you shoot some guy that was tied to a chair." Sam said "continue on O-R Two-Two-Four West." The GPS said "there are only two towns in the US named
Rivergrove." Sam said "how come you're so sure it's the one in Oregon?" Dean asked him "there was a picture. Crater Lake." Sam said "okay, what else?" Dean asked "I saw a dark room, some people, and a guy tied to a chair." Sam replied "and I ventilated him?" Dean asked "yeah. You thought there was something inside him." Sam said.

"What? A demon? Was he possessed?" Dean asked him "I don't know." Sam shrugged "well all your weirdo visions are always tied to the yellow-eyed-demon somehow.....so was there any black smoke? Did we try to exorcise it?" Dean asked him "no. Nothing, you just plugged him, that's it." Sam replied "well, I'm sure I had a good reason." Dean said "I sure hope so." Sam sighed "what does that mean? I mean, I'm not gonna waste an innocent man." Dean said as Sam raised his eyebrows "I wouldn't!" Dean shouted "I never said you would!" Sam yelled back "fine!" Dean said.

"Fine! Look, we don't know what it is. But whatever it is, that guy in the chair's a part of it.
So, let's find him and see what's what." Sam said "fine." Dean said, annoyed "fine." Sam scoffed.

River Grove, Oregon
When we arrived at Rivergrove, Sam spotted one of the men in his vision. He was about our dad's age, and he was sitting on a porch cleaning a rifle. The boys got out, grabbing US Marshal badges before heading over to talk to the man. Dean had parked the car at a distance where the man wouldn't notice me, but I could still see their interaction. Their conversation ended quickly, and then the boys walked back over to the car "names Duane Tanner. He lives in town with his family." Dean said as he started the car and drove away "who was the man you talked to?" I asked "don't know." Sam shrugged "not sure what he has to do with this case yet, just found out he's a Master Sergeant in the Marine Corps." Dean said.

We drove through the town for a few minutes until we pulled up in front of a storefront to see if someone knew where Duane lived "hey." Sam said, causing me and Dean to turn around he was pointing at a telephone pole that had the word CROATOAN carved into it "croatoan?" Dean asked "yeah." Sam nodded with a concerned look on his face "like Roanoke?" I asked him "yeah." Sam nodded as Dean looked at us blankly "lost Colony? Ring a bell? Dean, did you pay any attention in history class?" Sam asked him "yeah. Shots heard 'round the world. How bills become laws-." Dean replied "that's not school. That's Schoolhouse Rock." Sam sighed "whatever." Dean muttered.

"Roanoke was one of the first English colonies in America, late 1500s." Sam explained "oh yeah, yeah, I do remember that. The only thing they left behind was a single word carved in a tree. Croatoan." Dean said as Sam nodded "yeah. And I mean, there were theories...Indian raid, disease, but nobody knows what really happened. They were all just gone. I mean, wiped out overnight." Sam said "you don't think that's what's going on here, I mean-." Dean said "whatever I saw in my head, it sure wasn't good. But what do you think could do that?" Sam asked "well, I mean, like I said, all of your weirdo visions are always tied to the yellow-eyed-demon somehow, so-." Dean said.

"We should get help. Bobby, uh, Ellen, maybe?"
Sam asked "yeah, that's a good idea. I don't have a signal." Dean replied as he pulled out his phone "I don't either." Sam replied as we walked on the sidewalk until we reached a phone booth as Dean picked up the phone and put it to his ear "line's dead. I'll tell you one thing. If I was gonna massacre a town, that'd be my first step." Dean said.
