Leaving the house we stand outside talking for a few minutes trying to figure out what could be causing this to be happening "ahh, my life was so simple. Just school, exams, papers on polycentric cultural norms." Sam sighed as me and Dean smirked at each other "so, I guess we saved you from a boring existence." Dean said as Sam nodded "yeah, occasionally, I miss boring." He replied.

"So, this killer truck-." I said quickly being cut off by Sam "I miss conversations that didn't start with, 'this killer truck." He said with a smirk on his face as I giggled "all right, well, this Cyrus guy. Evil on a level that infected even his truck. When he died, the swamp became his tomb, and his spirit was dormant for forty years." Dean said "so, what woke it up?" I asked him "the construction on his house. Or the destruction." Dean replied as I nodded at him "right. Demolition or remodeling can awaken spirits, make them restless." Sam said as Dean nodded.

"Mm-hmm." Dean mumbled "like that theater in Illinois, ya know?" I suggested "yeah.....and the guy that tore down the family homestead, Harold Todd, is the same guy that kept Cyrus's murder quiet and unsolved." Dean said "so, now his spirit is awakened and out for blood." Sam said as Dean shrugged at him "yeah, I guess. Who knows what ghosts are thinking anyway." He replied "you know we're going to have to dredge that body up from the swamp, right?" Sam asked.

As I smiled at him "Ads." He said while I just continued smirking "you said it." I replied as he smiled and nodded "yeah." He muttered "hey." Dean said taking notice of Cassie standing in front of him "hey. She's asleep.....now what?" Cassie asked him "well, you should stay put and look after her.....and we'll be back. Don't leave the house." Dean replied as Cassie nodded at him "don't go getting all authoritative on me. I hate it." She said as Sam looked at me chuckling.

While Dean glanced back at us and then turned his attention back to Cassie "don't leave the house....please?" He said as they kissed "you comin' or what?!" I asked him as he got in the car.

Finally arriving on Cyrus's land the three of us hop out of the car as we make our way towards the tractor hooking it up to the truck as we prepare to pull it out of the water "all right. Let's get her up. All right. A little more...little more. All right, stop." Sam said as the truck was fully visible "nice." I said as I ran over to them "hell yeah." Dean said as he walked over to the Impala.

"Now I know what she sees in you." Sam said as Dean opened the trunk and rummaged through it "what?" Dean asked him "come on, big brother, you can admit it. You're still in love with her." I said with a smirk on my face as I looked at him "uh, can we focus, please?" Dean sighed "I'm just saying, Dean." I replied "hold that." Dean said as he handed me something "all right. What am I getting?" Sam asked him "gas. Flashlight." Dean listed "got it. Got it." I said "okay, let's get this done." Dean replied as we nodded at him "all right." Sam said "got it." Dean said as he closed the trunk of the Impala.

[.....]

"All right, let's get to it." Dean said as he poured salt on the body while Sam poured gasoline as I lit a match and threw it on the body, which caught fire instantly "think that'll do it?" I asked them when all of a sudden the truck appeared in the field in front of us, revving its engine and flashing its lights as I sat there, frozen, not knowing what we were going to do if it charged at us.

"I guess not." Dean said as he shook his head "so, burning the body had no effect on that thing?"Sam asked slightly panicked "sure it did. Now it's really pissed." Dean replied "but Cyrus's ghost is gone, right, Dean?" I asked him "apparently not the part that's fused with the truck." Dean replied as he walked over to the Impala "where you going?" Sam asked him with his arms out "goin' for a little ride." Dean said as he opened the door "what?!" I asked him.

"Gonna lead that thing away. That busted piece of crap, you gotta burn it." Dean said nodding to the truck "how the hell are we supposed to burn a truck, Dean?" I asked, frustrated "I don't know. Figure something out." Dean shrugged and tossed a bag to Sam as he caught the bag "figure some-something.." Dean replied as he got in the Impala, reversed, and then took off while Sam and I ducked down until the ghost truck passed by us, chasing after Dean.

[.....]
A couple minutes later we get a call from Sam's phone as he picks it up putting it on speaker phone "hey, you gotta give me a minute.....uh. Let me get back to you." Sam said as he hung up the phone "Sam, hear me out." I said as he looked at me "yeah." Sam said nodding while still reading through the journal.

"Do you remember Constance Welch and how she was afraid to go back home?" I asked him as he looked up at me "yeah?" He replied "she was scared to go back 'cause she killed her kids, and then when she did go back, they-." I said making him gasp "yes, Addison. Good thinking." He said quickly dialing a number into his phone "hey, Cassie? Hey, it's Sam, I need some information, and it has to be exactly right....where was the church that Cyrus burned down?" Sam asked her.

Grabbing my phone and dialing Dean's number "all right, Dean?" (...) "where are you?" (.) "listen to me, this is important. I have to know exactly where you are." (...) "okay. Headed East?" (...) "okay, uh, turn right! Up ahead, turn right." (..) "you make the turn?" (.) "all right, you see a road up ahead?" (.) "okay, turn left." (...) "you need to go seven-tenths of a mile and then stop." (...) "exactly seven-tenths, Dean." (...) I said lowering the flashlight that was in my hand.

"Dean, you still there?" I asked (..) "what's happening?" (...) "just what you are doing, bringing it to you." (...) "Dean wha-." I stopped to listen after a few moments of nothing, I started to panic slightly feeling the phone being taken from my hand "Dean. You still there? Dean?" Sam asked him "Dean, you're where the church was."(...) "the place Cyrus burned down. Murdered all those kids." (...) "church ground is hallowed ground, whether the church is still there or not. Evil spirits cross over hallowed ground, sometimes they're destroyed, so I figured, maybe, that would get rid of it." (.) "huh. Honestly, that thought hadn't occurred to me." Sam said as he pulled the phone away, looking at it, shrugging "musta hung up." I mumbled.

Waking up in the backseat I sit up rubbing the sleepiness away from my eyes as I groan "where's Dean?" I asked as Sam points out the window making me look to see Cassie and Dean kissing as I groan in disgust before he pulls away walking back to the car "I like her." Sam muttered with a smile on his face "yeah." Dean said nodding "you meet someone like her, doesn't it make you wonder if it's worth it? Putting everything else on hold, doing what we do?" Sam asked him.

"Why don't you wake me up when it's my turn to drive?" Dean replied as Sam shook his head and then looked back at me as I smiled before curling back up as I fell back asleep.
