Chapter 101-In My Time Of Dying

July 16th- July 19th, 2006

Opening my eyes slightly I squeeze them shut gently seeing a bright light shining above my head as I blink the blurriness away from them seeing a bunch of people around me "where's my family?" I asked lowly "calm down sweetie. There being taken care of." Someone said as they caressed the top of my head gently.

A few minutes passed as I sit up seeing a nurse beside me as I turn to look at her "hi. I'm J. If you need me or have any questions, I will be right down the hall." She said turning to walk away "can you tell me if my family is okay?" I asked her "yeah, I can check on them for you." She replied "no. I want to see them." I said as I got up out of bed walking out into the hall seeing Sam leaning against the wall.

"Oh, my god. Ads." Sam gasped as he pulled me into a tight hug "where are Dad and Dean? Are they okay?" I asked quickly "doctor said we are just waiting for Dad to wake up, but he should be fine." Sam said "and Dean?" I asked him as he sighed heavily and shook his head "his doctor says it's not looking good..." Sam muttered as tears brimmed my eyes "but I'm gonna do everything I can to change that." Sam said "what's wrong with him?" I asked him as he looked up, thinking for a moment.

"Uh...blood loss, contusions to his liver and kidney. And he has serious head trauma." Sam replied "what are we-." I said but was interrupted when a doctor walked up to us "your father is awake if you want to see him." The doctor said as Sam nodded at him and started to turn toward his room as I followed closely behind him finally making it to Dad's room we walked in, I could see that he had his right arm in a sling and had a few scratches on his face.

"You kids look like hell." He said with a smile on his face as he looked at us "does anyone even know how this happened?" I asked, looking at Dad and then over my shoulder to Sam as he walked around to sit in a chair by Dad's bed "it was a demon." Sam replied "the demon?" I asked him "no, just some demon. It had possessed a truck driver and drove a semi into us." Sam said "how's your brother?" Dad asked "he lost a lot of blood and has kidney and liver damage, but his doctor is mostly worried about his head trauma." Sam replied as we were all silent, and then Dad picked up his wallet off of the table next to him and awkwardly pulled something out of it with one hand.

"Here. Give them my insurance." He said handing the card to Sam "Elroy McGillicutty'?" I asked him with a smirk on my face "and his three loving children. So, what else did the doctor say about Dean?" He asked "nothing. Look. If the doctors won't do anything, then we'll have to, that's all. I don't know, I'll find some hoodoo priest and lay some mojo on him." Sam said "we'll look for someone." Dad replied "yeah." Sam nodded.

"But Sam, I don't know if we're gonna find anyone." Dad sighed "why not? I found that faith healer before." Sam said "that was one in a million." Dad replied "so what? Do we just sit here with our thumb up our ass?" Sam asked him "no, I said we'd look. All right? I'll check under every stone. Where's the Colt?" Dad said as anger crossed Sam's face "your son is dying, and you're worried about the Colt?" Sam said "we're hunting this demon, and maybe it's hunting us too. That gun may be our only card." Dad replied "it's in the trunk. They dragged the car to a yard off of 1-83." Sam said.

"All right. You've gotta clean out that trunk before some junk man sees what's inside." Dad said "I already called Bobby. He's like an hour out.
He's gonna tow the Impala back to his place." Sam said "all right. You-you go meet up with Bobby. You get that Colt, and you bring it back to me. And you watch out for hospital security." Dad instructed "I think I've got it covered." He said standing up and walked around Dad's bed "hey. Here." Dad said, picking up a piece of paper off of the table and handed it to Sam.

"I made a list of things I need...have Bobby pick them up for me." Dad said "acacia? Oil of Abramelin? What's this stuff for?" Sam asked him "protection." Dad said, seriously "hey, Dad? You know, the demon, he said he had plans for me and children like me. Do you have any idea what he meant by that?" Sam asked him "no, I don't." Dad replied as Sam nodded and then continued walking.
