We made our way up to our room, but the door was cracked open with the key hanging out of it when we reached it. We walked in, and Sam was sitting in a chair with his back to the door "there's been another one. Some guy just hung himself in his room." Dean said as he closed the door behind us "yeah. I saw." Sam growled "we've gotta figure this out, and fast. What'd you find out about Granny?" Dean asked him "you're the boss." Sam slurred "what?" Dean asked with confusion laced in his voice "you're bossy. And short." Sam laughed sloppily "are you drunk?" Dean asked him "yeah. So? Stupid." Sam slurred.
As | looked over and spotted several empty bottles "dude, what are you thinking? We're working a case." Dean said as he spotted the bottles as well while Sam stared off at nothing with tears in his eyes "that guy who hung himself. I couldn't save him."
Sam said "what are you talking about? You didn't know. You couldn't have done anything." Dean said "that's an excuse, Dean. I should have found a way to save him. I should have saved Ava too." Sam replied "yeah, well, you can't save everyone. Even you said that." Dean said."No, Dean, you don't understand, all right? The more people I save, the more I can change!" Sam shouted as he slammed his hand down on the table "change what?" Dean asked him "my destiny, Dean!" Sam yelled "all right. Time for bed. Come on, Sasquatch." Dean said as he leaned over and hauled Sam's arm over his shoulder, lifting him from the chair "come on." Dean said as I went over and sat on Dean's bed, so I was out of the way "I need you to watch out for me." Sam said.
"Yeah. I always do." Dean nodded "no! No, no, no. You have to watch out for me, all right? And if I ever...turn into something that I'm not...you have to kill me." Sam said "Sam..." Dean sighed as he started to turn away "Dean! Dad told you to do it. You have to." Sam shouted "yeah, well, Dad's an ass." Dean replied as Sam frowned "he never should have said anything. I mean, you don't do that, you don't-you don't lay that kind of crap on your kids." Dean said "no. He was right to say it!Who knows what I might become? Even now, everyone around me dies!" Sam yelled.
"Yeah, well, I'm not dying, okay? Neither is Addie. And neither are you. Come on. Sam." Dean said as he pushed Sam onto the bed while he stayed seated while reaching up and grabbing Dean's jacket "no, please! Dean, you're the only one who can do it. Promise." Sam said "don't ask that of me." Dean replied as he grabbed Sam's shoulder "Dean, please. You have to promise me." Sam pleaded, with tears in his eyes "I promise." Dean sighed.
"Thanks. Thank you. You are-." Sam slurred "all right. Come on." Dean said as he pushed Sam's hands away and shoved him back on the bed while Sam laid back and then rolled over, planting his face in his pillow, and instantly started snoring. Dean rubbed his face with both hands and sighed "Dean?" I asked quietly "yeah?" He sighed "is Sammy gonna be all right?" I asked him as he walked over and sat on the bed next to me "yeah, kiddo. He'll be fine. He just needs to sleep it off." Dean said "you know that's not what I mean."
I said "I'll take care of him, don't worry about that." Dean replied."It's hard not to." I said as tears came to my eyes "everything's gonna be fine, all right? Don't worry." Dean said as he lifted my chin up "okay." I nodded "will you be okay to stay here while I go talk to someone?" Dean asked "mm-hmm." I muttered "all right. I'II probably be back after you fall asleep. Goodnight, kid, love ya." He said as he put his hand on the back of my head and kissed my forehead "I love you too." I said "take my bed tonight." Dean said.
