When Lily Langston goes to a game with her best friend. The last thing she ever thought to happen was being hit in the face with a ball.
But what left her even more shocked was when the guest pitcher himself, the known ruthless billionaire Hayes Gr...

Speechless.
The dress I stood in left me speechless. My heart had stopped for a moment, this was really happening. Thousands of dollars worth of lace were glued to my body.
But my god. It was the prettiest dress I've ever seen in my entire life "That... that is most definitely the one" a voice other than Olives or James occupies my mind. We turn to see a lady who shares his features.
She stood tall at 5'7 her hair was dark brunette with a few gray strands lingering. Her dark brown eyes matched his and her flowed silk dress held her slim figure well.
"You must be my beautiful daughter-in-law" She smiled at me kindly, but she stared at the dress in admiration "How did my son get you" She stepped into the suite staring at the dress.
"My apologies I'm Lana Grant, Hayes's mother" Her slight French accent catches me off guard, then it makes more sense "Lilian it's a pleasure to meet you, my son talks so highly of you"
"Oh it's just Lily and it's wonderful to meet you as well" I turn to Olive and James, who are speechless, their eyes glued to the dress with no words.
"This is my sister James and best friend Olive" She turned to the two and instead of shaking their hands she hugged them.
"Elaine?" She calls out to the woman who's been helping us with the dresses "Could we find some vails and maybe gloves that would match this?" She nods and turns away.
She comes behind me in the dress "Now is this what you envisioned? Because don't just go with it because I am" I nod my head rapidly, this dress was the one. It was elegant inspired by Princess Grace Kelly's dress, made with taffeta and covered with French Alençon lace. I felt like a princess myself in it.
"You look absolutely royal" she whispers in my ear and then the most perfect veil could be seen entering the room. The veil is placed over my head and they all step back to view me.
"James I need you to take a picture for Dad" the tears in my eyes cascading down my cheeks. I felt beautiful but also fraudulent. I stare at myself again and turn to see her handing her card over.
"Lana I couldn't possibly have you pay for this" I shook my head and she shushed me.
"You're going to be my daughter, I wouldn't have it any other way" She turned us back to the mirror "Look at you, you my dear are priceless"
As the dress was being packed to ship to France after the fitting and alterations I stood with his mother alone now. She was still speaking to Elaine thanking her graciously.
But soon she stepped away picking up her Birken and sliding on her clothed coat "Elaine is an old friend of mine" she leads me out of the store.
"Could I take you to lunch dear? It would be on me?" I shake my head.
"I can get our lunch, Mrs.Grant-"
"Lana" she corrects "Just call me Lana, Mrs.Grant makes me sound old" she frowns.
