Being back into the swing of things was nice. But the extra stares in class weren't, I felt out of place in a way. Because nobody used to even spare me a glance, now I feel like I'm in a fish tank.

But school wasn't all too bad. I was used to being invisible, but Liz was on a roll with her jokes this morning.

"What does a DJ put on his pasta?" She whispers as Professor Klein gives instructions on work.

"Liz" I whisper.

"Mar-rin-nera" I glance at her weirdly "Like era-era" She does the hand gesture again and I want to crawl under the table.

"No, I got it the first time Lizzy don't you worry" She leans her head down on the desk and taps her feet around "You forgot your ADHD meds this morning didn't you?" She grins at me sheepishly and then sucks in her lips.

"Maybeeeeee?" She sits up and sorts through her tote bag pulling out a pack of Skittles "Want some?" She lifts the packet.

"Liz it's 9 in the morning?" She shrugs and pours half the pack into her mouth.

"How's that sexy hubby," she says with a mouth full and I sigh at her "How's work too?"

"He's okay, and I don't know I haven't been called in for a shift so I plan on calling my boss today. I was removed from Slack?" She looks at me weirdly.

"That is weird?"

"It's happened before, the server crashed and they had to her a new one. Plus I've been gone for some time, I was honeymooning" I joke but in return, she smiles at me.

"Yeah your fucking wedding was something else, like fuck you for setting my standards so high" I lean back in the chair and begin to take more notes.

"Thank you" I mumble and find my eyes locked with Professor Klein awkwardly, then I stare back down at my pad.

It's like everyone knew me, I married a guy I didn't even know but somehow everyone else did. Our wedding photos were shown in People magazine and that in itself was delulu. I was just some wack-ass white trash American girl.

Dad said I looked beautiful though, that it was like a royal wedding. I was happy to give him that, even if he didn't get to see the real ceremony one day.

"So what's on the docket for tonight?" She muses, I would so hang out with her, but unfortunately, Mom booked us for dinner. She wanted honeymoon details, but I wanted to crawl into a cave and hide for the rest of my life.

"Mom, me, and Hayes + food" she scowls.

"Sounds fun" she jokes and I glare at her.

"Rescue me?"

"And risk Addison Langston throwing a knife into my shoulder? I think I'll pass, it should be fun?" Fun, yeah right, she'll just goo-goo-ga-ga over Hayes for an hour while I sit and watch.
