My heart pound as I watch it unravel almost in slow motion.
The glass shatters into a million shards against his head as I stand frantically. I watch as blood takes form on the top of his head, he falls to the cold ground. His back meets the hardwood in shock.
He stares at me in disbelief of my actions. Like I would never hurt him but yet I did. I wasn't some sweet caterpillar, I was a butterfly gaining her wings. I rasp standing over his body.
I watch as he could barely move and his eyes grow dizzy, "L-Lily" He pleads.
I watch as his head slowly moves, but before he could reach the gun I do. I grab it and stand, but before I know it I hit the ground.
He sweeps me off my feet kicking down my legs. A piece of glass pierced the back of my leg, he stands staggered, "You'll regret that Princess..."
I watch in horror as he grabs a knife as I back up against the island. As he turns to charge at me, I close my eyes as I pull the trigger.
The shot rang into my ears.
The thing they never tell you, the sound of gun fire doesn't even sound real. It sounds almost fake in a sense, but as the piercing ringing of my ears alerts me. I knew it was real in the moment.
I hear screams, not from him, but from olive. I felt it against my skin, his blood. The sound of the clattering knife alarms me and I open my eyes. He stands mouth agape as the bullet pierced his throat.
He steps forward towards me again and I fire at him. The blood stains my skin again as this time it hits his head. Bullet straight to the brain as he falls back, I can't even move.
I just killed a man.
Time moved slowly after that moment. But somehow I found myself up from the floor and now in front of the closet. Slight whimpers could be heard as my footsteps drew nearer.
Then I stopped, "Olive" My brittled voice broke and her noise stopped. I slowly opened the closet door to a horrifying sight.
She shivers staring at me, her wrists tied in nots by white rope while her mouth was duck taped shut. But rather than relieved, she look of fear reflects on her face.
"I- I killed him" Then it was solemn, she stared at me with solemn as I go in to untie her wrists. But before she released her mouth, her arms wrap around me.
I don't even cry, I don't have any tears left in this moment. I can't think straight, but I close my eyes, all I could see was a replay in my head of what I'd done.
"I'm going to jail" I can't even breath as I speak and I feel Olive shanking her head.
The sound of ripped tape is heard as she shakes her head "Self defense, it's self defense Lily" I reach for my bump as I feel the slightest kicks.
