Chapter 11

"I should of guessed it since you moved here," said Jeremy as he walked up to his girlfriend and gave her a kiss on the lips then her forehead causing her to laugh.

"I see you two are well acquainted," said the principal as he tried to cover up his fake cough.

"Very acquainted," said Jeremy as he wiggles his eyebrows at her causing her to smack him on the shoulder.

"Thank you and we'll be leaving so we're not late for class," said Raelynn.

"Alright youngsters," replied the principal as the duo left.

"So Mikaelson huh," said Jeremy.

"Yeah I'm ready to take my mom last name," she said with a smile.

"Aren't you scared of being targeted by my sister and her friends along with the other Mikaelsons," Jeremy asked.

"Mom warned me about it but I thought I'm ready to face all the obstacles that come with carrying this name," said Raelynn.

"What if Klaus comes back and hurt you for using his family name?" Jeremy asked once again knowing the notorious hybrid's reputation.

"That's the point he's going to have to confront me and when he does I'll be ready," she said with a smile.

"Well you're gonna change it later on anyways," he said.

"What do you mean ?"she asked.

"Well when we get married isn't it customary for you to take my last name?"he asked.

"Why can't you take mine?" she asked.

"Well because you'll be taking mine sooo," he replied.

"That's unfair," she said pouring.

"Fine I'll take yours," he said complying too easily but he was glad that she didn't have a problem with marrying him in the future.

He kissed her cheek and said, "Let me see your schedule."

"Alright you have history class first with Alaric then art with me, AP Calculus then lunch and the rest of the day free," he said looking at her schedule.

"How about we go to the grill for lunch then we decide what do after," Jeremy suggested to which she agreed.

The continued to walk down the halls while holding hands as Jeremy couldn't help but stare at his girlfriend. Every day when he wakes up, he thank God for sending Raelynn into his life. Since his parents' death he felt alone. He was close to his dad and he kind of resented Elena for his death. However, Raelynn told him not to resent his sister as she didn't mean for the accident to happen.

They arrived at the door minutes after the bell. They heard the bell and Raelynn wanted to run to class but Jeremy told her that Alaric won't penalize her for being late on the first day.

"This is it,"said Jeremy. "You know the moment you walk through that door everyone while see you as a threat due to your name right?"

"I know but that's one of my goals as I need them to be curious about me so I can carry out my plans," she said.

"Alright but just know I'll be there every step of the way and protect you with everything I can," said Jeremy.

"I know," she said with a smile.

"I can't believe we are parting so soon," he said.

"Stop acting like that. You are going to see me after class," said Raelynn as she kissed the male.

"Alright, I'll come pick you up afterwards," said Jeremy as he reveled in the feeling of Raelynn rubbing his hand in her hair.

"Welcome back seniors, let's turn our brains back on starting with this country's original founders, the native Americans," said Alaric looking at his students.
