Esther got up from her seat and grabbed two glasses filling them with drinks to ease the mood of her discussion with the resident doppelganger. The elder witch then sat back down as she handed the girl her drink and then started the conversation.
"I believe Rebekah shared our family history with you about how I upset the balance of nature by turning my children into vampires," she started.
"She said you did it to protect them from the werewolves," replied Elena.
"It's true, but in no time at all they began to feed on human blood. They ravaged the town with no remorse and eventually Niklaus turned against me," she concluded.
"How are you going to kill him, he's immortal?" Elena asked.
Esther looked at the young girl and said, " I always wanted to be a mother, a good mother. I valued my children more than anything and at the time I was willing to do anything to protect them even if it meant losing my magic. However, as time progressed I was blind by something and didn't see that in protecting my children, my family, my actions hurt others and broke up their family."
"Like yours where your aunt was used as a sacrifice to undo something I caused and so I've decided to make amends and right my wrong."
"Miss Gilbert, it will take time, magic, and your assistance," said Esther.
"What do I have to do with that?" Elena asked confused.
"My children believe I am holding this ball to celebrate our reunion but in truth, I've gathered them together to perform a ritual," said Esther as she told the young brunette that her blood was an important ingredient and that she planned to add a drop to the champagnes of her children.
Meanwhile, this conversation was going on, the Mikaelson ball downstairs was going on in full swing. Everyone was enjoying the fine cuisine and music when the door was suddenly opened as steps were heard and a beautiful petite blonde girl walked into the hall with her handsome boyfriend by her side.
Although nervous, Raelynn wore a smile that lit up the room as everyone stared in awe at her beautiful dress. Her beautiful hair once again made into a large bun feeling light due to magic as she gracefully walked into the journey.
"You are so beautiful," whispered Jeremy as he knew the love of his life looked breathtaking. It didn't matter how many times he complimented her beauty as she always looked beautiful in his eyes no matter the outfit that was being worn.
Bonnie watched the duo as she clenched the glass in both hatred and jealousy. She didn't see what was so great about the blonde that everyone had to gawk at her every move. Seeing that Elena was not in the hall at this moment, Damon decide to take this time and introduce himself to the girl that filled his many outrageous fantasies.
Taking her pale hand, Damon brought it to his lips and gave it a tender kiss only for it to be snatched by Jeremy as he took out some wipes from his pocket and wiped the hand clean so his girlfriend wouldn't get any germs.
"Well beautiful my name is Damon Salvatore and it has been a pleasure to make your acquaintance," he said looking into her eyes.
"And she is too young for you and already taken so excuse us," said Jeremy as he lead Raelynn away from the pervert.
The Mikaelson siblings who had just witnessed the scene couldn't help but laugh at the misfortune of the cocky male. Rebekah then began telling her siblings how the said blonde has been going around using the Mikaelson name. This caused Klaus to add that she's just human and he had compelled her only to learn that she was adopted and the person who adopted her gave her the name. The siblings then and there decided to investigate the blonde when they had the chance and see if she pose a threat to their family.
After the long talk with Esther, Elena left the room after giving the elder witch some of her blood. Esther couldn't help shaking her head as she looked at the retreating form of the brunette human doppelganger as she thought the girl to be too naïve and dumb.
After the girl left, Ether looked at the ingredients once again before solidifying her conviction and starting the spell. She needed to do this no matter the consequence. Upon the spell's completion, Esther left the room and went back to the ball ready to signal the toast. As she was about to give her speech, her eyes connect with her daughter's, and her face softened a little before she looked away.
After thanking the guests, Esther gave a wonderful speech as she smiled at her family before leaving as she didn't want to run into Raelynn. Sadly the blonde wasn't able to confront her mother and had to leave disappointed as Esther went to the Bennett witches to discuss their role in the ritual.
Everything was merry in the Mikaelson household but a seed of doubt was placed in Elijah's mind as he saw his mother meet Elena secretly and the doppelganger lied about her business with his mother.
"It was time," both Esther and Raelynn thought as they looked at the sky since today was a full moon and the day Esther planned to kill her children.
The Mikaelson sibling had heard about their mother's plan to kill them all from the older Salvatore when he failed to kill them. Thanks to Elijah, they used Elena as a bargaining chip so that the Salvatore brothers could stop the spell and they did by turning Abby Bennett into a vampire.
"No sisters don't abandon me," cried out Esther as she fell to the ground in despair.
This was her only chance to make things right and now it was ruined. She couldn't help the tears that fell from her eyes in disappointment. The Mikaelson brothers looked at their mother in betrayal as they thought that she didn't care about them anymore after all they were her children. Niklaus being the most disappointed rushed to kill the evil bitch only to be stopped by Raelynn who ignited a barrier around her mother protectively and let her golden locks loose.
The males stared in shock at the bright gold seventy feet long hair only to hear them say, "Use me, mother."
