ESTHER'S FLOWER

Chapter 22

Esther stood in the clearing near her home with Abby and Bonnie Bennett. She was planning to channel her magic through the Bennett witches' bloodline to carry out her spell. They were the second strongest source she could use to carry out her spell. 

She knew people wouldn't understand but she needed to carry out this spell and she was planning to do so even if she had to drain the two witches and their ancestors of their magic. She started to explain to the mother and daughter what they needed to do but she was suddenly interrupted when her oldest son informed her about her other children coming.

"Go through that door and it'll lead you to the basement. There you will stay and start chanting the spell as soon as you see the moon's light," instructed Esther as the duo ran to where she pointed. Bonnie thought the place looked familiar but she didn't have time to question it as she and her mother ran into the basement along with the Salvatore brothers who were following close behind.

"My sons come forward," she said as the trio walked towards her.

"Stay behind me," said Finn only for his mother to tell him that it was okay.

"That's lovely we are stuck out here while the favourite son plays sacrificial lamb," said Kol.

"Stop it Kol your brother is only helping me achieve my goal and sorry to burst your bubble no offence my son but my favourite child is Niklaus," the elder witch replied shamelessly like she wasn't about to kill her children.

"Me? Your favourite child? Ha, mother please don't tell any more lies. After all the things you've done and allowed that man to do to me and now your saying I'm your favourite," said Niklaus angry.

"I'm glad I ain't her favourite," said Kol as he laughed only for Elijah to hit him on the back of his head.

While this conversation was happening, Raelynn was packing a bag filled with stuff she'd need and her mother's spell book.

"And where you do think you are going," asked Jeremy as he stood at the stood with his hands crossed against his chest.

"I am going to help my mother," said Raelynn as she tied her hair and then grabbed her bag.

"No you are not," he said trying to block her.

"Jeremy Grayson Gilbert you are going to move out of my way or so help me I will knock you out in the most unpleasant way ever," said Raelynn seriously.

"Do it then because not only did I promise your mother I would protect you but I swore an oath to myself the day I became your boyfriend and future husband that I'd protect you no matter the cost," he said seriously.

 Raelynn could only sigh in defeat as she knew he wouldn't let up. "Would you come with me then and protect my mother and me in case my potential siblings decide to attack if the plan goes south?" she asked.

"How would I fight against three original vampires and an original hybrid ?" he asked hoping they'd come up with a plan since he meant his word about protecting her.

"Well, I know you've realized you've gotten stronger and I did some research on the tattoos that keep growing on your body. So apparently your this powerful hunter from a group called Brotherhood of the Five who were created by this bitchy Bennett who was upset that her man got taken by another bitch who shares the same face as your sister," explained Raelynn.

"So basically I am powerful," said Jeremy.

"Yeah plus you are protected by my magic and the only way you can be harmed is either if I'm dead or my hair is cut off but that will never happen so your good and I also upgraded your ring so you'll be good," Raelynn said finally as she kissed her boyfriend and they set off to the sight where Esther would be.
