Thank god for Kaminari's quirk. His entire body moved at the speed of light as he shot out of the way. His quick dodge meant Shinso was able to grab ahold of Kendra's fist and twist it behind her back.

"Stand down," Shinso growled as he tried to pin her down.

While bucking Shinso off, Kendra boomed, "Fuck you Brainwash! You sneaky bastard, you chose to show up at our apartment when I wasn't there. You knew I'd throw your fuck'n ass out if I had been!!"

"Of course we did. Look at you. There isn't a rational brain cell in your whole body. I went there to talk. I know I fucked up. I know that, okay? But I didn't hurt her." Shinso glanced up at Fae and murmured in a rare moment of shyness, "I don't want to hurt her again. I'm trying to learn from my mistakes."

Fae's heart clenched as she let herself momentarily get lost in those purple orbs once again.

In a voice so quiet he almost didn't hear it, Fae said, "I know you don't, Toast."

Shinso huffed a raspy monotone chuckle. "That's still a terrible nickname."

"Do you want me to stop calling you that, Hitoshi?"

Just as he had years ago, he shook his gravity-defying purple hair and gave her a much less timid smirk than the one he had when he was a boy, "No. I'm okay with it as long as it's you...anyone else, and I wouldn't like it."

Fae's cheeks turned pink. "Hmmm, I guess you really do remember."

"Yeah, I do." He gave her a devilishly sweet lazy smile as he nodded toward her hair. "It kind of makes me miss the pigtails though."

When Kendra heard Fae's true snorty giggles erupt, she stopped resisting. Kendra looked at her best friend for a long moment before releasing an exhausted sigh, "Alright Brainwash, let go."

All the teasing warmth Fae had brought out in his voice disappeared as Shinso grunted down at Kendra, "No. You tried to attack, my Denki. I'm not letting you hurt him."

"The fucker is fast as lightning. I don't think I could hit him if I tried."

Shinso glanced at the pro hero in question. Kaminari had waddled over to Fae and had some of her long blonde tresses in his hands. He put the sprouts of hair high on her head and then low as he tried to determine what type of pigtails she used to have. When she gently placed her hands over his and moved them right above her ears, Kaminari let off a bit of excited electricity at her touching him.

Mr. ADD was so hyper-fixated by Fae's touch that he likely wouldn't hear a damn elephant coming toward him.

Alas, Shinso knew he'd die long before he'd let Kendra get close to Denki now that he knew she was a loose cannon, thus he released her arm. "Don't do anything stupid."

Kendra stretched her sore shoulder and hissed, "oh you mean like trying to keep Fae out of the underground even though she has a meeting with Chisaki today?"

Kaminari chirped, "underground? Did someone say underground? Who? Whose going to the underground? Me?! Can I go to the underground??"

"Omfg shut up! Did you really need to say that four times?"

Fae however giggled, "wow boo, you must really have liked Paynte's club, huh?"

"You took him to Paynte's?" Shinso glowered at Fae. "Seriously?"
