Fae's knee bounced a mile a minute. The sound of her jeans whisping past one another was practically screaming in the uncomfortably quiet office.

"Would you stop that?" Shota Aizawa flickered a look at her from the corner of his eye before looking back at his computer he had been typing away at for the last 10- maybe 40,000- minutes. "It's annoying."

"No, I'm nervous and need to expel that energy somehow."

Aizawa scratched at his stubble beard and grumbled, "You sound like Kaminari."

"Well considering I'm in a relationship with him and your son, that is kinda to be expected, no?"

Thanks to Eri's uncontrollable excitement at discovering her favorite teacher and older brother had gotten together, Aizawa and Hizashi were both acutely aware of their relationship. Therefore Aizawa simply sighed just like his son, "I don't have enough energy to broach that topic this early in the morning."

Someone who most certainly did have enough energy?

Yeah, he completely ignored the do not disturb signs and busted straight into the office.

"SHOTTTTA!"

Fae and Aizawa both turned to face Hizashi, who pulled off his yellow little glasses and pointed them at her cringily smiling face. "You! What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to get my walking papers."

"EXCUSE ME!?!?!?" Hizashi boomed so loudly her hair flowed backward and Aizawa was reminded yet again why he'd have to get hearing aids in a few years.

"Hiz, listen we agreed-"

"That she'd stay on!!"

Aizawa instantly frowned. "No. That is not what we agreed to."

"That's what I agreed to!"

Fae just sat back and watched the married couple continue to sigh and use their outside voice to hash out whether or not Fae would be eligible to keep her job at UA.

Hizashi grabbed his cockatoo hair in annoyance. "NO! That's unlawful termination!"

"It's not unlawful because we have a reason." Aizawa's brows pulled together. Despite his tone and words being harsh, she knew he genuinely did care for her wellbeing as he snapped, "She is quirkless. Teaching hero prospects would be a liability both to her health and theirs because she couldn't protect any of them or herself. You know we can't keep her on as a hero course teacher."

"She can still teach English just like she had been! We'll just get a part-time gym teacher or something!"

"Rationally, that's the dumbest thing we could do."

"But-"

Aizawa held up his hand. The one that contained the black silicone wedding band he wore outside the office. "I'm sorry Hiz, but Fae and I already discussed this. She's being let go from her position as a hero course teacher because she's already decided to retire as a pro hero as well."

Hizashi's little mustache quivered as he looked over at Fae. "But...but..."

"It's okay," Fae's head canted to the side as she smiled up at her fellow teacher. "Really, it's for the best. Being Miss Fate has already served its purpose. I already succeeded in making the fate I always dreamed of. It's why I don't have any regrets about losing my powers or having to put away the secret identity."

"But I'm going to miss you so much!!!" Hizashi rushed over and crushed her head to his stomach much like he did to his own cuddly daughter.

"She's not going to be out of our lives. We will literally see her tonight at family dinner."
