Chapter 49

-;-Kaden's POV-;-

The month flew by quickly with the usual. Trinity and I hanging out, kissing, more hanging out, more kissing ;), and then of course me avoiding telling Trinity the truth.. Now it was just two days before winter break. It was a Friday and nobody actually went to school today.

"Hey, wanna go ice skating today?" Trinity asked.

I remember when Trinity joined that skating club when we were younger. Lately everything had been coming back to me about our childhood.

"If you want to." I smiled at her.

"Then let's go." She said.

She was already dressed grabbing her winter jacket , gloves and a hat. I watched her pull on her jacket and gloves. The hat took a while because over the months her hair had grown much longer, almost to her mid back, and her hair was completely auburn again. I watched her force the hat on and mutter something to herself about how she needed a haircut.

I laughed and got dressed.

"Lets go." I said grabbing my keys.

On the way to the rink Trinity had turned on the radio and they were playing Christmas carols. She abruptly turned it off.

"Oh crap. Christmas!" She yelled.

"What about it?"

"I need to buy presents. I need to send presents to my parents. Oh my gosh I totally forgot." She said.

"It's fine. You have time." I tried to calm her down.

"I'm gonna go shopping during break." She said.

"Me too. We're here." I said pulling into a parking space.

"Yay!"

We got out of the car and Trinity pulled me inside.

Once we both had our skates on, we stepped onto the ice.

"Do you know how to ice skate?" She asked.

"The last time I skated was when I was 13." I said.

She gently pulled me along and I slipped in the first 10 seconds. Since she was holding my hand she landed on top of me and we were both laughing.

"Ok, we're holding onto the railing until you can skate."

We stood up and walked along the railing and I picked up the skating thing pretty quickly.

Soon we were holding hands and skating like the other couples. There was only like 2 considering it was like 10:00 a.m.

Trinity let go of my hand pulling me out of my thoughts. She started skating circles around me.

"Bet you can't do a figure eight." She then did one.

"Where did you learn to skate like that?" I asked although I already knew.

"I used to be in this skating club." She said.

"Can you do the jumps?" I asked.

She shrugged.

"I can." I smirked jumping less then a centimeter into the air.

"Tadaa." I said.

"Amazing!" She said sarcastically.

I saw her shiver.

"Let's go." I said.

We got off the ice and took off our skates and left.

"Where do you want to go next?" I asked.

"The park. There's lots of snow there right?" Trinity asked excitedly.

"Definitely." I said.

We pulled up by the park in about 5 minutes. Trinity pretty much ran out of the car while it was moving to get to the snow. I guess she missed it.

I got out and walked over to where she was. She was busy making snow angels. Her cheeks were rosy and the tip of her nose was red. Her lips were a perfect pink.

I got down next to her and kissed her nose. Her skin was freezing, but it felt nice against my lips.

She opened her eyes and smiled. I started making my own angel. When we were both done we started making snowmen.

I was busy making mine when I felt something hit my back. I turned around to see Trinity holding a snowball in one hand and her other hand on her hip.

"No you didn't." I said gathering snow in my hand.

She giggled and ran away. I got some snowballs and chased after her. I saw her long auburn hair blowing in the wind as she ran and I aimed for her. It hit her square in the back. She turned around and stuck her tongue out at me.

I ran and hid behind a tree. I peeked out and saw her looking for me. I threw a snowball and it hit her right in the face. Oops.

She looked pissed. So cute.

"Kaden! Not funny!" She stomped her foot.

She marched over in my direction. She walked past the tree and I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her onto my lap and kissed her.

"Sorry." I said against her lips. I felt her smile and she kissed me again.

She pulled away.

"Kaden look." She pointed behind me.

I turned around and there was nothing there. I turned back around and was met with a snowball to the face.

Before I could say anything Trinity kissed me and all was right again.
