Sans groaned as he sat up out of bed. He felt dizzy, achy, and just all around awful. He sighed in annoyance, why today of all days did he have to get sick? He had a really important test today for his physics class that didn't want to miss, and he also had to help Gaster at the lab after school. He couldn't be sick, he just couldn't!

With much struggle and frustration, Sans slowly got out of bed and made his way to his closet. With shaking hands he changed his clothes and tied his shoes before grabbing his backpack and making his way downstairs.

He plastered the best smile he could onto his face and made his way to the kitchen where Gaster and Papyrus were, gaining the attention of both.

"Ah Sans, there you are, you slept in longer than normal," Gaster said, giving his son a concerned look.

"Yeah! Because you were so late, Dad had to make my breakfast!" Papyrus said, taking another bite of his jelly toast.

"My my, do you not enjoy my cooking, Papyrus?" Gaster asked, pretending to be heartbroken.

Papyrus quickly backtracked on his words, immediately getting defensive, "That's not it. Dad! I promise! I'm just used to you making coffee and Sans making my breakfast!"

Gaster smiled and rubbed the top of Papyrus' skull, "I know, I'm just pulling your leg. Now run upstairs and grab your backpack, it's almost time for you and your brother to leave." Almost immediately, Papyrus put his plate in the sink and rushed upstairs to look for the discarded backpack that was somewhere in his closet or in the corner of his room. Gaster chuckled before turning to Sans, who seemed to be zoned out and in his own world, but because of this he didn't realize that Gaster had noticed his slight swaying as he stood. "Sans, are you alright?" Gaster asked, placing a hand on his teenage son's shoulder.

The feeling of his father's hand snapped Sans back into reality, "oh uh, yeah! I'm alright, just thinking about my physics test today."

Though Gaster didn't fully believe him, he nodded anyway, "you're very smart, Sans, and you excel in physics. You have nothing to be worried about."

Sans smiled and looked up at his father, "thanks Dad." Immediately after, Papyrus bounded down the stairs with his backpack on his back. Sans smiled and held his hand out to his younger brother, "ready to go, Pap?" Papyrus nodded and took Sans' hand, the two of them waving to their father before walking out the door.

The two brothers walked to school hand in hand, Sans listening to Papyrus rant on about how he was going to Undyne's house after school, well, trying to listen. He couldn't seem to focus as well as he usually could, the pain in his head made it hard to focus, and all of his energy and focus went in to making his dizziness as least noticeable as possible. Though nothing could slip past Papyrus.

"Sans? Are you alright? You're shaking," Papyrus asked with a worried tone.

The older skeleton quickly snapped out of it and plastered the best smile he could onto his face, "I'm alright, bro, just cold."

"You can't get cold, brother, you have no skin," Papyrus commented.

"No, really Pap, I'm just chilled to the bone. Its snow reason to be worried about me," Sans said with a chuckle, causing Papyrus to groan in annoyance and the topic was dropped all together.
