Jevil floated around his cell with a smile on his face. Sure the cell could be a little boring, but he felt as though he was more free than the other cards outside. In the beginning, he didn't comprehend that they couldn't understand what he said about his reality. This was all a game, and they just didn't know how to play. Still, that didn't stop him from attempting to teach them.

Soon enough, he found himself floating by the cell gate where a familiar face stood. Gaster, the very entity that opened his eyes to the game that he now plays. He chuckled a bit, grabbing the bars and staring back at him.

"I was wondering when you'd show up again! Do you wish to be free with me?" Jevil asked, and yet Gaster said nothing, just staring at the jester with cold, dead eyes. Still, Jevil couldn't tell. "Of course you do, you along with me are the only ones truly free. We are the best players in the game."

Gaster then made weird noises that only Jevil could understand, for Gaster made sure that his little puppet could hear what he had to say. "I have returned to you, Joker. I am going to free you from the prison they have put you in, the prison your old companion put you in. Now listen closely to what I tell you."

"Cryptic as always, but do tell!" Jevil said, followed by silence.

"You will leave Card Castle once the door opens, do not interact with anyone here. I will instruct you further as soon as you are far enough away. You can manage that, I'm sure," Gaster said, unlocking the cell door before disappearing.

"I can do anything!" Jevil laughed a bit and pushed the door open. "He never stays around for long, oh well. Let's see how much my absence has changed this place."

He quietly made his way up the stairs, making sure nobody was around before continuing. The castle was quiet, not many guard were patrolling the halls. It was nighttime is what Jevil assumed. Thanks to this, he made it outside in no time.

The entire kingdom seemed to be shut down for the night, which pleased Jevil. Oh how he adored the night, the moon provided such a calming glow, and he was proud to be the one to bring the fun during a rather calming hour. After all, he knew how to play correctly.

Soon enough, Gaster kept his promise and appeared before the jester, stopping him in his tracks.

"There you are! I was worried you left me alone!" Jevil said, floating to make eye contact with the entity.

"You must male your way down the path ahead. Soon enough you will find a house made of cloth where a stuffed cat will be inside. He will make sure that you will never be found and locked away again," Gaster said.

"That reminds me, why did they lock me away in the first place? Of course they didn't know that they were setting me free and of course they were the ones truly locked away!"

Jevil still didn't understand...or did the rest of them not understand?

"The deeds you have done, the acts you committed, you do not remember them. While my truth set your mind free so you could truly see the world for what it is, they do not understand. They mistook your truth for insanity, assuming you didn't make sense, and yet one was on the right path. The stuffed cat stated that 'you didn't make sense, and yet you didn't not make sense'. And still, the insolent fools made him lock you away. Many were injured in your attempt to escape, and now you are free to try again. Find your old friend, he will take care of you," Gaster said, his form gradually fading.

Jevil attempted to wrap his mind around the whole ordeal, wanting more answers that he still has not received. "Wait! Will I see you again?" He asked in desperation.

"We shall see, in due time, Joker," Gaster said, fully fading from existence.

Despite his confusion, Jevil was not one to defy the entity and pressed on along the path, eventually stumbling upon his destination. A shop made of cloth stood in front of him, where he was told the cat called home.

Seam sat at the desk, sewing eyes onto his latest creation. It wasn't perfect, but neater was he. However, he dropped the items once he hear an all too familiar laugh, the laugh of a once known friend.

"Long time no see, Stitches, that is if you still remember that nickname," Jevil said, flying over to the desk.

Seam quickly stood wondering if what he was seeing was a hallucination. Who on earth would set Jevil free aside from himself? Surely it wasn't the king or the prince or the servants, and definitely not Jevil himself. Still, he was happy to see him here, for he hasn't in such a long time.

"How are you here? The kings made me lock you away," Seam asked, watching as Jevil sat on his desk with the same sadistic grin.

"Are you not happy to see me, Seam? After all, you were the one that almost understood my message," Jevil said, watching as the cat quickly shut down the claim.

"Of course I am happy to see you, old friend, but I am confused. Who freed you from your cell?" Seam asked.

"The entity, he visited me again an told me of your shop. He said that you would take care of me and guarantee my safety, is what he said true?" Jevil asked, looking hopefully in Seam's eyes.

Seam was even more confused at this point. He never could understand who Jevil's little entity was, yet he wasn't one to deny his friend sanctuary.

"Of course you can stay, Jevil, my home is now yours," Seam said, a smile plastered on his face.

Jevil laughed happily and clapped his hands, "wonderful! In exchange I shall offer you knowledge as well as entertainment! I am still a jester, after all!"

"I have missed your act," Seam admitted.

From that point, Seam had set Jevil up in the spare room he had, and Jevil got comfortable quickly. To say the least, both were happy to be companions once more. Jevil still didn't make much sense in what he considered to be knowledge, but that didn't stop Seam from trying his best to understand.

Jevil didn't see the entity again for many years...
