Plot: You're sick with a cold and dadster takes care of you

You groan and roll onto your side, waking up from a rather restless slumber. You weren't quite feeling the best to be honest. Lying in bed for a while just staring at the wall, you eventually decide to just wrap yourself further in your blankets and attempt to fall back asleep, but Gaster wasn't having it.

He realized that you didn't come down at your normal time in the morning, so, concerned, he went up to your room. He gently knocked on the door.

"Y/N? Are you awake?" He asked, only recieving a sniffle from your congested nose. He sighed and opened the door, chuckling when he saw you wrapped up in your blanket cocoon. He walked over and sat next to you on the bed, moving some of the blanket and your hair away from your face. "What's wrong?"

"I don't feel good," You said blatantly, pulling the blanket back over your face and rolling over some more.

Gaster gently rubbed your back through the blanket. "Then I think a sick day is in order. How does that sound?" You smile and nod, reaching your arms out for Gaster to pick you up. He does so happily.

He carries your blanket burrito self down to the living room, placing you gently on the couch. You sneeze and wipe your nose with your sleeve. Gaster rolls his eyes and picks up the tissue box sitting in the corner of the room and sets it on your lap.

"I know you're sick, but that's no excuse to be gross." You giggle and blow your nose with the tissue. Gaster picked it up with his magic and threw it into the trash can. "Now that that's taken care of, what shall we eat? Preferably a breakfast food."

You think for a second before looking up at him. "Chocolate chip pancakes?"

He smiles and ruffles your hair, "I think that can be arranged. How about a fruit to go with it?"

"Strawberries!" You say enthusiastically.

He chuckles, "alright. Put something on for us to watch and I'll be right back." You nod and grab the remote as he walks away.

Flipping through the various channels, movies, and TV shows, you end up deciding on (your favorite movie/TV show).

Eventually, Gaster comes back with two plates, setting one on your lap and one on his own when he sits down. He looks at your choice of show, not really into TV personally but happy anyway to see you so focused on the show instead of being sick. Besides, making sure you were happy now would help to soften the blow of forcing cold medicine down your throat later.

He watches as you happily munch on the meal he made for you, smiling to himself. Once the plates were empty, he takes them both and places them in the sink before coming back with a drink in one hand and cold medicine in the other. You whine when you notice it.

"I don't wanna," you say, crossing your arms and turning away from him.

He sighs and sits next to you, "I know, but you have to anyway if you want to get better. You want to get better, right?" You don't say anything at first, but nodding later on and turning back to him. He pats the top of your head, "good choice. Now here." He hands you the drink and the disgusting liquid medicine, watching as you drink it as quickly as possible before beginning to wash it down with your drink. He ruffles your hair, "see? That wasn't so bad, now was it?"

You cross your arms and turn away from him again, to which he just laughs and relaxes into the couch once more. He knew you couldn't stay mad at him for long, which turned out to be completely true when you started to get sleepy and lyed your head onto his lap. He watched as you sniffled one more time as you fought sleep, but struggled greatly to stay awake when he started to run his fingers through your hair.

He pulled the blanket over your small torso when he saw you shiver a bit. "Go to sleep, you need it." You didn't bother to argue, besides, Gaster was rather comfortable. He placed a gentle, fatherly kiss to the top of your head as you eyes fully closed. "Get well soon, Y/N."
