FIRST DAY IN PARIS

everything seemed to go smoothly for donghyuck and minji. there weren't any traffic jams on the way to the airport, they passed security in no time, and they only had to wait until it was their turn to pass the gate. the two spent some time getting some food and talking to each other while waiting to board the plane.

however, stress levels started rising the moment minji entered the plane. as she sat down in her seat next to the window, donghyuck could tell she was extremely nervous since she was heavily trembling. still, she tried to remain calm as she didn't want it to result in any misbehavior like last time.

currently, the plane was expected to be taking off at any moment, and the girl was visibly dreading it. she had already taken some pills that would help her calm her nerves, but regardless she still felt sick to her stomach at the thought of being in the air.

"hey, hey." the boy next to her noticed her anxious fidgeting with her finger and covered them with his hands to stop the trembling. "it's okay, it'll be over before you know it." he reassured her with his gentle voice, and the moment he said that, the plane started moving.

minji's heart immediately sped up at the movement, but donghyuck quickly reacted by grabbing her hand in his. she squeezed his hand and shifted her head to look at him. "thanks, hyuck." she managed to form a brief smile on her face to show him her appreciation.

finally, the plane increased its speed enormously, ready to lift off into the air, causing minji to squeeze her eyes shut and almost crush donghyuck's hand with her tight grip. she felt absolutely sick. not in a way that would make her throw up, but in a way that was bad enough to make her imagine the possibility of dying in the aircraft.

"nothing bad is gonna happen, jiji. i'm here right next to you, it's not like i can go anywhere right." he added a cheesy joke while pinching her hand softly, trying to lighten the mood. "try not to focus on flying, just talk to me to get your mind off of it." he proposed and she nodded, still holding his hand.

and so donghyuck managed to tell her a whole story of him embarrassing himself, which surprisingly seemed to work. he also kept reminding her of their past feud, making her laugh and including her in the conversation. though she was still a little anxious, it was already a lot better than before.

at some point during their conversation, a flight attendant walked by and somehow donghyuck managed to include her in the conversation. minji liked seeing this side of him, making others laugh and being such a social person. he wasn't like that at school, but she hoped he wouldn't keep this side of him hidden anymore.

"so, is this your girlfriend?" the flight attendant asked since minji hadn't really said much, seeing donghyuck had been ranting non-stop. she figured there was no harm in denying the statement, since they didn't have to prove anything to anyone there.

so minji shook her head, which apparently surprised the flight attendant. "oh, my mistake. i thought you were dating since you two are adorable together." she commented with a kind smile, causing donghyuck to blush.

somehow in these past couple of weeks it started to feel like he was actually dating her, so seeing minji deny the statement was a wake-up call for him that it wasn't actually real. a quiet sigh managed to escape his mouth, reminding himself not to get too attached to this girl before any of his feelings escalated into anything more.

shortly after, the flight attendant left again, and minji seemed to be a lot more comfortable right now. to her surprise, a few hours had passed already, even though it barely seemed like an hour. she was glad donghyuck was there with her, or she wouldn't have made it without getting paranoid.
