it had been more than a month since minji and jeno had broken up. the girl had quickly moved on from the whole breakup, but unfortunately the people at her school hadn't yet, since it was still a hot topic among fellow students.

rumors and theories continued to spread, which was exactly what minji was afraid of when she decided to cut ties with her ex-boyfriend. it wasn't a surprise to her when most of the people at her school sided with jeno and turned their back on her.

of course, the girl never really cared for her social status as she believed that popularity was just a scam made up by a bunch of people with attention-seeking issues. however, she hated that everyone made up their own stories about her without knowing the truth.

the whole month had been a disaster for her, which was why she couldn't wait to start her fake relationship. not only because she wanted to get back at jeno and audrey, but now also to stop the rumors that had been spreading around like a virus. it was also something that could potentially distract her from all this madness.

but as minji already expected, it wasn't easy working together with someone who had attempted to make her life miserable for the past eighteen years, and he made it even harder for her by deliberately testing her limits during the process. she had to admit, she was exhausted after all the planning and scheming and they'd gotten nowhere yet.
