Andre Miller 47 The Ultimatum

Andre created a shove rune and fired it off knocking a gunman off of his motorcycle.

Till used an icy rune to cover the street in a thick sheet of ice causing two others to wipe out and a third to spin uncontrollably.

Janice fired her tazer in a cloud of confetti and struck one of the downed gunmen.

What had started as an attempted drive-by shooting was quickly going against the attackers.

Andre Fired off a binding rune at one of the two attackers who were still mounted and they were bound up by bands of red magical energy and fell from their motorcycle, being pinned beneath it.

The one remaining attack who was mounted corrected his spin and shot away at high speed fleeing the area. One of the gunmen on the ground aimed with his gun and snapped off a shot which took Tilly in the leg causing her to fall, crying out in pain.

Andre summoned a trio of lightning bolts which struck the ice and coursed through the downed attackers disabling them.

Tilly worked a minor healing rune and stopped most of the bleeding but the bullet remained inside her leg. Andre carefully walked around and used binder runes on the 5 gunmen who remained. The sound of police could be heard in the distance growing closer with each passing moment.

When they arrived they found the melting ice and five black leather-clad gunmen bound up, their weapons piled a distance from them.

Andre was sweating from the exertion of having 5 runes going at one time.

The police had him release them one at a time and they were cuffed and shoved into the back of this police cruiser, each repeating the mantra, "I want my phone call, I want my lawyer, I refuse to speak until they are present."

EMT arrived shortly and took Tilly to the hospital to have the bullet removed and be checked out more thoroughly.

"You know I am getting sick of this crap." Said Janice as she reloaded her tazer.

During his statement, Andre recounted the incident. 6 men on motorcycles all stopped at once pulled out guns and began firing on the building containing Infinity Brand Ltd. activating a shield talisman after the first shot hit the building. The pusher and pain inducer rune also activated but the men were too far away to be hit by them. Andre, Janice, and Tilly exited the building and defended themselves. It was a mostly one-sided fight until the shield rune went down and Tilly was hit. Andre mentioned that they were most likely connected to the company Artifax, a magical defense corporation with who they were currently embroiled in a nasty lawsuit.

Andre and Janice closed the shop and pulled down the metal shutter over the display window, they had had that installed after the third attack. The drive-by attempt was the sixth.

They called the others, Kyle, Frankie, Kris, Caleb, and Conroy, and told them what had happened and that they were on their way to the hospital to check on Tilly.

Kyle, Tilly's brother, said he would meet them at the hospital. Frankie would finish up the job he was on and then make his way there. Kris and Conroy would stay at the house with the 7-year-old Celeste and watch out for secondary attacks.

It had been a month of constant harassment in the form of bricks through windows, threatening phone calls, and random attacks. The attackers were always bailed out by Howlett and Grimes law firm out of Boston, the lawyers for Artifax among others. The arraignment of the first group of attackers was still two months away and in the meantime, the intimidation tactics hadn't let up at all.

Once they arrived at the hospital Tilly was in an emergency room having the bullet removed. While they waited Andre called Dunkirk and Beech, the lawyers leading the charge against Artifax in the countersuit against their predatory tactics.
