Liu and Y/n had gotten dressed for Berk's 400 years Anniversary. Salem and Ashaw had dressed as well to be the muscle incase anyone tried to take Hiccup. It wasn't anything fancy or colorful, but rather black and green to shield them better with the environment and shadows.

Ares had insured to watch the waters and keep an eye out on ships so they were followed or tracked. He two wore the black and green attire. Odysseus and Cherry had stayed behind to train the healer recruits, Demetrius and Blythe. Malani had taken to scouting the waters while they were gone to insure no one tried doubling back into their waters if they were spotted.

With everyone in place, Y/n, Liu, Salem, and Ashaw took their dragons and headed out for the long flight. Ares trailed behind on the amber eyed nightfury, watching for any suspicious ships. Finding unwanted ships so near there base would be bad.

"You sure your okay with this?" Ashaw voice, his concern bleeding threw.

"Why wouldn't we be? No one will even know we are there," Salem reasoned.

Ashaw looked over to his little sister and Liu. They had friends there. Family. Ashaw felt guilt nawing at him for taking them from there home. If they didn't take Y/n and Liu away, they wouldn't have been threw all that abuse.

"I just worry," Ashaw muttered.

Looking over to Y/n and Liu, Ashaw called out to them.

"Will you two be okay?"

Y/n tilted her head back towards him as Liu glanced over, but looked to Y/n for her reply.

"Stoick invited us personally. It'd be wrong if we didn't," Y/n muttered. "Besides, it's Berk.. we should be fine."

"That wasn't what I asked," Ashaw shifted lightly.

Y/n tensed looking down to the ocean. Her trembling caught D/n's attention. Turning his head, D/n rumbled in concern.

"Y/n?" Liu's voice reached her ears. "It's okay to be scared or nervous."

Y/n looked over to him and noticed everyone was watching her.

"I am.. I never fit in at Berk," Y/n muttered. "And now.. after everything, heh. Yeah I doubt things changed at all."

Liu took a breath and offered a small smile. He remembered the other hadn't cared for her, but last he checked, they had a mutual friendship with her.

"I'm sure the cove will remind you of why we are coming back," Liu's eyes held a faintest glint of joy.

Ashaw himself had cracked a grin remembering the painting he helped them with that Snoggletog.

"Cove first, party later," Liu smiled.

Y/n felt herself faintly grinning back with a small nod. Maybe it could be different, but Y/n didn't have high hopes. Last Y/n remembered was having a mutual understanding with the riders.

"I'd like that," Y/n agreed.

Ares could all but watch there interactions. Although he agreed to help on the watch to insure no one kidnapped this Hiccup character, Ares had an alternative reason. He wanted to know more about Y/n and Liu. Liu especially.

"We have a days flight ahead of us. Stay sharp guys," Ares reminded.

Salem spared Ares a glance.

"You okay Ares?"

Ares spared Salem a glance himself and sighed. After the past was exposed and the beating they both got, they had a deeper understanding between each other. After Cherry's scolding, they agreed to not have another fight like that again.
