A/n: Based off of Race To The Edge, Episode 8: Wings of War Part 1, and Episode 9: Wings of War Part 2.

Episode 7: Dawn of Destruction was last chapter.. my bad.

Also, this was over 7,000 words.
With these chapters based off of episodes, they do tend to take more time and end up really long.
Luckily I do have drafts for the episodes I will be using for the rest of this book, but editing them takes a lot of time, and I am unsure if I'll be needing to incorporate more episodes into the story.

Anyways, I do hope you guys enjoy.

"No!"

Hiccup had shot up, his eyes wide. Y/n and Toothless had shot up and look to Hiccup. Y/n had instantly pressed her hand to his head before pressing lightly to cheek. Hiccup was quick to take her hand, taking a breath.

"I'm sorry," Hiccup had patted Toothless lightly.. "I.. I'm okay.."

Y/n frowned, but had rubbed his back lightly. In turn he had turned to kiss her head in assurances before slowly getting up.

"Well, time to face the music," Hiccup sighed.

Y/n stood with Hiccup and Toothless's help. Her leg ached, but that became the least of her worries as an all to familiar cry from D/n sounded. Y/n rushed with Hiccup and Toothless behind her. The moment she made it outside, her heart stopped. D/n's feathers were bristled as he snapped at the citizens of the island.

"What's wrong with him?" Hiccup asked as soon as Mala reached them.

"He awoke like this," Mala frowned.

Y/n hesitanted, but rushed over, Hiccup's fingers grazing her arm.

"Y/n, wait!"

Y/n's eyes were fixated on her dragon as she rushed him. When his dilated eyes saw her, the snarl was unmistakable.

"Y/n!"

Y/n had dodged D/n initial shot, and had been quick to take hold of his head and hold him long enough for Ares and Malani to help.

"Oh Thor..," Fishlegs's eyes were wide. "I.. What's wrong with him?"

Hiccup didn't have an answer. None of the riders did. This wasn't the morning they expected to be dealing with. Ares was able to subdue D/n with a muzzle as Y/n and Malani had taken to binding D/n's movements with shackles and chains. D/n still thrashed and fought them. It was clear he wasn't well, but whatever afflicted him was uncertain.

"What is wrong with that dragon?" Snoutlout asked.

Y/n frowned as D/n thrashed excessively. If he didn't calm, he'd hurt himself. D/n didn't seem to noticed or care. He seemed hell bent to cause as much damage as possible. Unfortunately she was out of her lavander and poppy powder.

"I don't know, but I'll figure this out. Ares, I'll need Malani's help in this endeavor," Y/n's eyes flicked to where the other dragon was. "I'll need more lavender and poppy to keep the D/n and the others sedated until we can figure out what's going, and if possible, bring me Xavier."

Ares nodded and was quick to fly off with Malani hesitating. She rushed over and embraced Y/n quickly to try and comfort her before leaving. It was a nice gesture, but did little to ease Y/n's mind.

"What are we going to do in the meantime with your--"

"You aren't doing anything," Y/n retorted, her eyes cutting to Snotlout. "He is my dragon. My problem. If I can't find a way to fix this.."
