A/n: This Chapter is based off of the How To Train Your Dragon, Race To The Edge, Season 4; Episode 12 Shell Shocked Part 1.

Hiccup and his riders stood by Stoick who sat in his chair before the village, and before the accused. Daymos, Ares, and Salem. had stood just a step below with Liu. The accused, Liu's parents, or adopted parents they've come to find out, stood before them glowering at the chief with distain.

"You stand before us, accused for the attempted murder of Liu and Y/n," Stoick's voice struck the walls. "What do you have to say in your defense?"

"What is there to say, chief," the man all but spat. "Turning your back on viking way, bah!"

"Befriending dragons," the woman continued, eyes narrowed on Hiccup. "Now what a swell idea. Befriending the very same beast who took your wife. Raided your homes. What a great choice."

Hiccup glanced to his father, but Stoick hadn't moved. It was quite for a beat.

"Yet you only moved to Berk after the war that befell our home," Salem stated. "This viking way hasn't applied to you before."

The man chuckled, his eyes shifting to Ashaw. The woman was quiet, her eyes unwavering from Hiccup's form, before her gaze flicked to her husband briefly as he broke into a rant.

"Oh you didn't know of a time without those beast. Before that bastards of a woman brought them. Proclaim peace with them," the man noticed how Salem's form tensed, and the lightly shake in his body. "Athena was a fool! To help with her for disrespecting our dead by bringing those thing into our homes! Our lives! And to Hel to Berk for letting the devils in.. Hail Lillian! Down with the dragons! And down with the weak."

Ares gripped Salem's arm to keep him still, but if he paid mind to Liu, the sight may have been unseen by the riders and youth of Berk.

"Liu--"

"To Hel to all of ya! Hail Lill--"

The male had choke on his words. Blood dripped to the stone floor as Liu flicked his hand. A lump of flesh splatter on the ground as the male gurlged on his blood. The woman's gaze snapped to gaze fearfully to Liu as she stood before them composed.

Daymos repressed any and all urges to run. Memories of Liu's attempt to kill him was heavy in his mind. Hiccup and Astrid stood, chills running up their spines. The other riders were frightened and conflicted. This was their friend, and he just torn out a man's throat with ease.

"We have bigger issues to deal with," Liu glanced to the woman he once called mother. "Traitors like you really aren't worth the time."

"Liu.. Liu please," the woman shrunk.

Liu shook his head and left The Great Hall leaving the frightened woman and her husband laying dead on the stone floor.

Y/n sighed as Ashaw, Cherry, and Addily stayed beside her. Gothi had gone to the trial, but not without making sure Y/n had someone to watch her. Y/n didn't mind one bit. Having Ashaw hold her was comforting at the moment as Cherry showed Addily how to make hot coco.

It was peaceful. Y/n wished it stayed this way, but their peace was disrupted when the door was pushed opened. They relaxed slightly seeing Liu, but grew on edged seeing the blood on Liu's hand.

"You okay?" Ashaw slowly stood, and walked over to Liu. "Who's blood is that?"

"That retch of a man I had called father," Liu growled. "He won't be hurting anyone again."
