- "I TOLD YOU TO PUT SUNBLOCK ON." grace shook her head as jackson struggled to walk into panera the next day. they had spent the day at the beach with the triplets and madi the day before and now they were using their next day off to do whatever.
"i did put sunblock on."
"not enough obviously." ivy snorted as she purposefully hit his back. jackson screeched in pain, jumping away from her and running up forward to be as far away from the girl as possible.
"WHAT THE FUCK VEE?" he yelled and the girl erupted in laughter.
"highlight of my day right there." ivy stated and jackson flipped her off.
"fuck you. fuck you. fuck you. FUCK- matt?" he scrunched up his face and tilted his head in confusion. "why are you here?"
"mac and cheese." was all the boy said, sending the three a tight lipped smile. "funny seeing you guys here."
"at the place we work at?" ivy raised her eyebrow and matt pushed off the wall he was leaning on. "and not in the line?" a smug smile settled on her lips. it was funny watching matt panic.
"yeah." he pursed his lips and nodded, knowing they totally saw right through him but at least he could play it off for a little. "thank you for reminding me."
the trio looked at each other, and then back at matt, who slipped into line next to them. they fell into an easy conversation, talking about what their plans were for the next week and everything in between.
"wait- why are you guys in line?" matt questioned when they moved up, almost at the register.
"oh we got the weekend off, gracie just wanted a sweet tea." ivy explained, shrugging as gracie was called as next.
"i mean if you guys don't have any plans today, we're going to the mall if y'all want to tag along?" matt snuck in, shrugging as he watched grace order her sweet tea.
