"AHHH." was the scream that escaped gracie's lips the moment she spotted ivy. the girls met half way and embraced immediately.
"again, saw each other two weeks ago." nick felt the need to point out and jackson started laughing as he said his hello's as well.
"don't care." ivy mumbled as she refused to let go of the girl.
"vee i want to say to everyone else." gracie laufhed in her best friends arms and the girl just held on tighter.
"don't care." she repeated and gracie started laughing as she let go of ivy and let the girl's arms loosen around her as well. "okay fine."
they all went around greeting each other, catching up and speaking as matt and chris grabbed gracie and jackson's bags so they could start moving to the car.
"i love how he's walking away and he hasn't even said hi to me." gracie sighed dramatically as matt was just grabbing her book bag from the floor to cary for her.
"okay well carry your bags on your own." matt dropped her book bag and then instantly smiled when he met eyes with her.
"all that talk and look at you all giddy." she teased and matt's smile jokingly dropped. he couldn't stop the smile from reappearing on his face though, especially when he heard her laugh softly as she stepped closer to him.
"never leave for a month again, i had to deal with chris and ivy the entire time. oh by the way i honestly think i'm going to win that bet we made two months ag—" he started to ramble and she just fell into a trance. somehow she could hear everything he was saying but at the same time she just heard her heart pounding.
her eyes flickered down at his lips and she seriously contemplated it. could that have been the moment? she had been dropping hints for two months and he had yet to pick up on them so maybe she needed to make the first move.
than again, they were standing in the middle of an airport and all their friends were just either watching the interaction or talking amongst themselves. okay so maybe it wasn't the moment.
but God she wanted to kiss him so bad.
maybe it was the way he laughed at something he said, or the way he spoke with a smile on his lips whenever he was with her. or maybe it was the way his blue eyes lit up when he got excited for something.
whatever was she needed to snap out of it before he noticed.
when her eyes flickered back up to his she realized he was still talking. which meant she should probably pay attention to whatever he was talking about.
"—and now im convinced they're actually dating even though they're not but still." he stopped and took a breath and gracie blinked a couple times to remind herself of reality. "oh yeah and—"
