- "FIFTEEN NINTEY EIGHT." gracelyn taylor informed the customer in front of her, sending them a warm smile. the man in front of her barely cared, roughly handing her a twenty dollar bill and impatiently waiting for his change.
"alright have a great day!" she grinned, hearing some weak grumble of a response before watching him leave all together.
"or don't! fuck you too!" ivy matthews just called after the man when she noticed how rude he was being.
"v we talked about this." the girl groaned and ivy just rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"gracie i seriously don't understand why you let people talk to you like that."
"it's literally my job to do that." grace reminded her, fixing the nearly empty tip jar in front of her register.
"no it's your job to ring people out, not to take shit from them." ivy snorted and gracie just sighed and noticed another customer coming into the panera.
it was a slow day, just the two girls and their manager. they were always scheduled together, only because they had the exact same availability. which they had totally done on purpose when they both applied and got the job.
"okay v, i know i'm not going to win with you, next time you have the complete go to yell at a customer." she stated just as their customer walked by.
"you definitely don't, ivy please avoid another complaint." jackson rizzo stated, stopping next to the two girls and jumping up on the counter to sit on top of.
jackson was another one of their friends, one that had gotten a manager position there and vouched for the girls when they applied. when they started working together the three of them sort of just became really close, now always doing everything together.
especially working because every shift if one worked so did the other two.
"okay but that lady who complained was a bitch. like c'mon, she was obviously tweakin' and she slut shammed gracie." she pointed at them two and narrowed her eyes at jackson. "and i don't know why you're complaining, you yelled at her and then made her leave."
"i didn't yell, i sternly yet politely asked." he shrugged and gracie just laughed at the comment, finding it funny.
"it was awfully polite for getting kicked out."
"i am the manager guys, i've got bills to pay im not trying to get fired." he snorted and ruffled gracie's hair, causing the girl to swat his hands away.
"ain't no body told you to move into your own apartment." ivy told the boy and he just glared at the girl and flipped her off.
"i mean sorry jacks but she's totally got a p—" gracie's tease got cut short when the door the panera opened and a girl walked in, wallet in hand and she walked straight up to the register, like she came in knowing exactly what she wanted.
