- "WHAT ABOUT MCDONALDS?" chris asked just as they passed it and nick groaned in annoyance.
"chris we're in fucking new york and you want to eat at mcdonalds." he rolled his eyes and chris just shrugged, standing by his suggestion.
"no what about shake shack it's like two blocks down." gracie suggested and madi gasped, immediately on board with that idea.
"yes please, jacks what do you think?" madi turned and found him already looking at her with a smile on his face.
"whatever u want mads."
"and now im going to vomit." gracie commented as a joke to ivy as the two walked side by side. they were far enough away from the group that they could keep a conversation between the two, which ivy took to advantage.
"so, matt took you on a date?" ivy questioned, trying to play it nonchalant at first. she knew in the next thirty seconds she would be allowed to freak out for the girl.
"possibly."
"am i allowed to scream or are we playing this off?" ivy questioned and gracie hummed, blushing as she thought of what detail should be the first one she told to her best friend.
"he took me on a mini picnic in central park." she shrugged and ivy gasped hitting the girl on the shoulder before letting out a scream.
"NO WAY."
"vee i wanted to cry he's so cute i'm literally so down bad." gracie groaned as she linked arms with ivy and the two continued their walk behind their friends.
"he's clearly in love wit—"
"woah." gracie out her hand up to stop the girl from making the joke and ivy rolled her eyes before correcting herself.
"okay the kid is clearly 'down bad' as well, im surprised y'all haven't kissed yet." she snorted and grace's face dropped a little and she cleared her throat.
"i mean, it's taking a while. he still hasn't admitted he has feelings for me." she frowned slightly and ivy raised her eyebrow.
"have you told him how you feel?"
"well no- but i dunno i feel like he's too scared to tell me. every time he gets close to saying it he backs out. that or i'm reading way too deeply into things and that's not what he wants to tell me." she ranted and ivy held into her arm tighter to reassure her.
"that kid is head over heals for you my love, it's okay. just give him time- chris had mentioned to me soemthing about his anxiety, that always plays a part when having to communicate your emotions."
"yeah you're right, maybe one day i'll be an exception to that."
"i'm sure you'll be." ivy placed her head on gracie's shoulder and the two fell into a completely separate conversation as they walked a little faster to catch up with their friends.
