- "I WANNA KNOW I WANNA KNOW I WANN—" chris was continuously repeating it as they walked into the apartment complex jackson lived in.
"i am begging you to shut the FUCK UP!" ivy snapped and chris snorted before tapping matt.
"you were with her, did she tell you why she supposedly can't take the job?" he asked his brother and matt just shrugged, keeping his mouth closed as chris groaned.
"you guys can't just dangle a key piece of information in front of me. i want to know."
"oh my fucking gosh. her dad has her blacklisted from any acting in hollywood." jackson gave in and they all froze in the entrance towards the elevator.
"i thought we agreed in talking to gracie first before we explained to them." ivy ran her hand over her face ans jackson just pointed at chris.
"it's him, i really didn't do shit here."
"wait what do you mean blacklisted?" nick asked and jackson sighed.
"gracie's dad is a big shot lawyer when it comes to anything hollywood and film. and his best friend is this very famous director that holds a lot of power." jackson started explaining.
"jackson and grace have always loved the whole acting thing. the amount of school plays i've been to is ridiculous." ivy rolled her eyes and madi raised her hand so she could ask a question.
"i still don't understand how all of this leads to gracie not being able to act."
"the night of our senior show gracie's parents didn't show up. and she was the lead. it hurt her and she was upset so she did something stupid online and wrote some really funny- but could be perceived as detrimental to his career— about her dad." jackson continued and then sighed as he leaned against the wall behind him with his hands in his pockets.
"he got really bad press and so he took it as acting was a waste of time, especially since she didn't want to go to college for law or business. so he practically disowned her and told her to come back when she had a job." he finished explaining and nick frowned.
"fucking asshole. she goes to her parents house all the time though?"
"she goes because her brother somehow talked a little sense into her parents. but they barely talk when she's there. it's all really for the publicity and pictures." ivy explained and jackson squeezed his eyes shut and groaned.
"stay down here for a couple minutes, i should go talk to her." he pursed his lips as madi nodded.
"it'll be okay." she told him and he just smiled softly.
"yeah you're probably right." he nodded before walking off and leaving through the elevators.
"if gracie's blacklisted how did she get the role?" nick asked and ivy shrugged.
