- MATT LAUGHED AS GRACIESTRUGGLED WITH HER SKATES. even in mid may there were still certain in door ice skating rinks that were open. he thought it would be funny to bring them here on one of their last days in boston.
chris and ivy stayed behind in their respective rooms. the group figured it was good to leave them be rather than force them to face each other.
plus mary lou was staying behind as well so there was still going to be a mediator if anything happened.
"stop laughing at me." gracie spoke frustrated with the activity and it only causes matt to laugh even more.
she wasn't even on the ice yet.
"this is a winter activity we are borderline summer. i'm begging you to keep it winter." she huffed and matt just stood up from his seat and grabbed her hands.
"let's get on the ice and then we can talk." he told her and she looked up at him scared to move from where she was. he grabbed her hand and the two of them stepped on the ice, not even two feet away from the entrance.
"wait no matt wait wait wait—" she shook her head repeatedly and he rolled his eyes as he squeezed her hand a little tighter.
"stop worrying. i'm right here." he reminded her. right when she was going to respond about still worrying jackson, nate and nick zoomed right past them.
"c'mon gracie it's not that hard." jackson teased laughing as he circled right back around her.
"when i'm back on normal ground im going to kill him." she grumbled to matt and the moment she stopped focusing on the floor her skate flew back and she almost went backward.
matt pulled her up just before she could fall though, laughing slightly at her panicked look. jackson laughed passing them once more on the skates, coming closer to scare her but pulling away just in time.
nick laughed watching gracie panic and she narrowed her eyes at all of them, losing her focus once more.
"just ignore him gracie focus on me." matt snapped her back to him and her cheeks burned red.
matt taught her the technical way of skating and she could barely pay attention. multiple reason. his freckles had been kissed by the cold yet still as noticeable. he looked so happy explaining something he loved to do when he was home to her. and she felt like she was going to die every time she moved.
