Chapter 42

The slender figure emerged from the bathroom and saw that Day had put on a movie and was lying on the bed watching. Brick sat next to where Day was lying and looked at him with a scared expression, Brick didn't know how to say it because Day continues to watch TV and didn't look at Brick. The slender figure thought of something before secretly smiling.

"Day..., if we go back to Bangkok, I'll go back to my house" Brick said, waiting to see Day's reaction. The tall figure immediately turned to look at him with hardened eyes.

"Dare you go back? I'll drag your neck back" Day said in a stern tone. Brick pressed his lips together slightly to suppress his smile.

"But I have to go back to see my mom and dad" Brick said again.

"Whenever you want to see your mom and dad and tell me! I'll take you there! Don't forget" said Day again.

"What if my mom and dad say I won't come back to you?" Brick asked again.

"I'll talk to your mom and dad," Day said dryly. Brick secretly turned to smile the other way because he was scared that Day would see him, he wondered what Day meant by that? Day had some reaction when he learned that Brick would no longer be with him, the result made Brick deeply happy. Though Day didn't speak sweetly, Brick feels good about what Day has said now.

“Don't tell me you want to go home, why do you want to see that bastard Pete?” Day asked causing Brick to freeze.

"Oh no…" Brick quickly turned around to deny it.

"Give me your number" Day said and Brick agreed to hand it over. The tall figure glanced at the dialed number, seeing that it was Nick, he glanced at Brick for a moment before pressing the call.

📱-("Hey, what's up? I'm going to change for a trip") Nick's voice rang out.

📱-"Brick called you just now?" Day asked quietly.

📱-("Ah... ah... is that you? You're the one calling to check his wife's phone number") Nick's voice sounded playful, Brick was looking at Day.

📱-"Keep your mouth shut or bite Neil! Tell me, did Brick just call you?" Day asked in a gruff tone.

📱-("Oh! He called me to complain about you. Shh, you took my friend away. Please take care of my friend, don't let him get too distracted and when you break up, don't cry...") Day hung up before Nick could finish talking.

"Your friend talks too much, you should sew his mouth shut," Day said in a shaky voice.

"Do you believe me? I was actually talking to Nick," Brick said, Day threw the phone back at Brick without saying a word.

"I want you to speak well and do well. Do the right thing to keep me from getting mad like this!" Day said. Brick sat up with a frown and rubbed the sheet.

"I'm afraid you're going to wreak havoc," Brick said calmly.

"So you don't think if I find out later I'll be even angrier?" Day said in a stern voice.

"Or do you think it's okay to lie to me all the time?" Day asked again.

"No" replied Brick unable to say anything because what Day said was true. Brick didn't think Day would figure that out quickly.

"You're stupid, not thinking about what you do, what do you think? That I don't know? I know almost everything, but you still won't tell me" said Day.

"Yeah, I know you're good at it," Brick replied.

"Why were you looking for me? You should have known I didn't want to come back early" Day asked in a serious tone waiting for Brick's answer.

"You said you knew almost everything? So why are you asking me?" Brick said, because he felt more comfortable talking to Day that way. Day looked at Brick until the figure laughed.
